Default 70 rwhp gain with a "baby cam"

My friend Doug wanted a cam that didn't lope, wouldn't buck or surge but would make a decent gain. Ground him a 226/230 .605/609, used some BT Racing Dual Springs and Comp Pushrods.

Gained a nice 70 rwhp with just the cam swap on 04 C5-241 heads.

Before and after dyno-car already had headers with cats-factory Z06 catback.

You would really have to listen to know it has a cam.

it's on a 115+3.

My friend wants to go bigger now. I think next time around I may try this cam on a 113-that should bump up the torque some!

Which BT Racing Springs did you go with? How did you like them? They're on my list, but there isn't a lot of hands on experience with them to read about yet.

Wonder how much it would gain in a 385 rwhp LS6?

Could I advance it and get more torque out of it?

I would guess another 15-20 rwhp.

I bet if I put it on a 113 it would gain 10ft/lb's of torque.

What is the current LSA? Nice gains. I picked up 52rwh w/ pretty much that same cam. EPS 226/234. The torque it puts out is nasty!

Great gain Arun. Can you PM what lobes and what the IVCP at .050 is. Also on a 113+? I am looking a putting this exact cam in my stockish TBSS. I am pretty sick of noise and lope so this sounds perfect. The 113+4 may be a better choice for at 5,000lb TBSS though. Thanks.

Brett

Not for that little of a gain.

I was thinking more like 35-40 rwhp with the ls6 heads and intake over a 2003 LS6 cam.

But I may be wrong.
