I thought that was the entire reason you said you went to the larger headers cause all you cared about what high rpm power gain (6-7k)??

You're right. I should explain a little better. Not that I wanted a tq loss, from bigger headers, but I would pay that for more 5000-7000rpm power. Going to the bigger headers didn't do what I thought they would. Losing down low for some upper rpm power? The motor gained everywhere. What tells me this is how the car drives/feels different. Also the shape of my power curve did not change much. Peaks are in the same spot. Now 6000-7000rpm would be a nice umbrella gain. As the MSD seems to make more power past 6500 & I only rev to 7k. For 500 rpm, with a bit more power, doesn't seem worth it. To me.

Maybe pick up a Mamo 102 Fast used if you don't want to lose power down low. They pop up time to time. I love mine.

True. I'm sure it would gain a bit going to the 102.

IMO, I'm with mamo. MSD does lose a little down low but with a 4" stroke ls you have lots anyway

Okay, I'm a Mustang guy so bare with me.

But who gives a **** about low end as long as it doesn't make less than stock? I mean stoplight to stoplight and pulling stumps is fun but that's not where you'll be when you want to really let your 90 degree piece of glorious American muscle sing.

If your valvetrain can handle high RPM, give it high RPM.
