Just got back from driving it for the first time. I'm going to have to get used to the idle a bit. I stalled it twice but it's really not that bad at all. Even with the solid motor mounts. It seemed to give a light buck/surge only if lower than maybe 1300 rpm.

Thanks man.

I have a very similar set up crated up on its way. It does have a fully ported fast 90 and im ordering 1 7/8 headers so ill post up. Great numbers should be fun as hell! The low rpm peak should be great for the street.

I looked into it a bit. It seems to peak a little early. About 5850?. I'm really not worried though. The hp curve seems to flatten out after the peak. Maybe 1 7/8 headers will help the curve on the top end? I am really happy with the entire hp/tq curve. How right before the tq starts to fall off the hp takes over.

Awesome! I'll be keeping an eye out to see your results. Good to check up on similar setups. Thanks man.

I drove her around last night some. She pulls hard! What I noticed, & is bothering me a bit, is how the idle will stay up around 2000 rpm until I get to a complete stop. Then it drops to the proper idle speed. If it was 1k rpm it would be fine. I'll have to get it calibrated right. Some IAC setting? No biggie.

Nice setup, I wouldn't worry about the cam peaking early. It's a 383 and you only have 5* of overlap so its not going to be a high RPM screamer. My 383 peaked somewhere in there too. Area under the curve is what makes a fun street car. I also noticed you had it tuned elsewhere this time, good call

Hey ddnspider! I told Martin I was only going to be revving to 6500 max. I am very happy with the cam from idle to the power curve. From all of the others on here, with their experiences, I knew I could trust him for my cam.

Thanks to you, for that little kick in the butt, I needed, I figured I would take my business elsewhere. I'm not blaming them or holding any grudges. Some bad things happening on my last few experiences. Redline Motorsports did the entire short block swap. I was very happy with the detail of the work & procedure. Everything from degreeing the camshaft to checking specifics/tolerances & adding pieces to the puzzle.

Thanks again man.

Cool, glad it worked out for you. After your other thread I had pm's saying they had trouble with the other vendor too. I've heard good things about Redline Motorsports so sounds like you should be in good shape. Now get it to a track and have some fun.

Lol. I can't wait to experience the full potential. She's strong! Wish I had her back to make the 1/2 mile event in Ocala.

That's a very impressive set of numbers for sure. Do you now what the total ignition timing and A/F ratio was when you made that pull?

Thanks man. Not sure on the ignition timing. I'll try to find out. The A/F ratio is on the graph. Looks to be right around 13:1.

Torque curve looks great and power curve is just as expected.

Great job on putting together a well rounded combination!

Thanks Martin!

It was definitely the right choice to contact you for the cam.

Nice build!

When you look at the headers, a scavenging merge collector like LG pro or Kooks with the merge spike collector, any number of good ones out there.
