Default 418ci N/A cts-v dyno numbers. I'm happy and surprised

Thanks alot to everyone who has helped me in this build. Beau at Texas speed was very helpful getting everything spec'd out as i wanted and getting the motor done so quick. Martin at Tick Performance helped me choose a cam that would make good power and tq for this heavy car. Pray here on Tech for helping me chase down lost horsepower when i was trying to find my intake restriction. So glad he convinced me to go with a custom one. Voodoochikin here on tech for getting my driveshaft fixed. Its a great piece!! And everyone at Vengeance racing that were able to get the car done fast and within my short window of time. Everyone there is very good to work with and will take the time to answer any questions you might have even when they are very busy. I was shocked at the gain i got from having Mike tune the car with the new intake vs the old volant intake and tune from another guy in town. If your going to get a tune from someone in the Atl area, there is absolutely no one better than Vengeance PCM. I can say that without question since I've had tuning done from everyone else in town as well. Soo much money wasted.

Now for the pics... Jay at Vengeance's nice intake I reused my old lingenfelter box, and he cut and welded the pipe and IAT bung

Now my previous results on old volant intake and tune from guy not worth naming. This is from a dyno day in perfect 65* weather and low humidity using STD correction factor

And now Vengeance's custom intake and tune. New results are in SAE. I added the STD results at the bottom for a comparison to the previous dyno numbers. Sooo hot today

Not of this run, I was not there when it was dynoed. I have the older 520/490 run though.

Thanks! Its got too much tq. I'm still on stock 245/45 18 bridgestones haha. Its the very definition of a muscle car. Tons of power and absolutely zero traction. But its fun, and it gets so much more attention than anything else i've ever owned. Need to do some drivetrain mods now.

Yea, i'm probably going to stay N/A. I originally thought about going with a procharger later and e 85, but i like N/A. Its enough power for most every situation. THis thing will never be a full out race car. If i seriously get the itch for a bit more power i will do a direct port. That way i can keep it N/A 99% of the time

That's kind of how I feel...I have the bottle for those very rare occasions that I may need it, but it's fast enough n/a for 99% of the time

Thanks!! Its getting closer to being done. All that's left is a rpm trans with the c6zo6 ratios, a CS 8.8, new wheels and tires, better clutch, and a direct port 150 shot with a stand alone fuel cell and lingenfelter lnc 2000 controller.

LOL...that's like 10 - 15 grand

Congrats on the power gains...I'm chasing about 25 - 30whp myself. Now that you found it, can you tell any difference SOTP?

Thanks 74u!! Yeah its gonna take me a while to piece all of those mods together. I have not gone wot since i got the car back. When I left the shop it was rush hour traffic so all i could do is just baby it home. And i've got to go work for a while so I won't even really be able to drive the car now for possibly a month. Something to look forward too.

How is your chase coming along? I've been following your thread. You decided to go with the ls3 setup right?

Yes - stock LS3 heads/intake. I put about $1500 back in my pocket by selling off the cathedral Trickflow/Fast and buying a used LS3 top end...I'm going to see how it runs w/unported heads first, and plan to pull them off this winter and have them worked.

I also swapped in a smaller CamMotion cam which I'm really happy with how it drives, and the valve train noise is substantially reduced. If I break even powerwise I'm not going to complain...I'll spray a bit more if I need to

Should have dyno numbers soon.

Thanks Martin!! The cam you spec'd made the exact power you said it would. I'm surprised at how early it peaks. That's great for my heavy car and really bad 3rd-4th gear spacing. Now when I'm shifting I'll be falling into the rpms where I'm still at 500whp!! Thanks so much for your help!!
