Well the second and final round of mods included a change from speed engineering 1 3/4 headers to their newest design of 1 7/8 headers. I went with a TNT hybrid 8.8 rear with 3.73's for peace of mind on hard launches vs the old 3.23 10 bolt I had on the 1st dyno and track visit. I also added an alky control single M15 nozzle setup running 100% M1 to the mix as well as swapping from the 4.5" pulley to a 4.25". This netted an increase in boost to 12.6# at redline. The dyno #'s weren't what I had hoped but they never are. It went from 556/504 to 603/519 on the same dyno as before. I will admit that peak torque dosent tell the true story here as it was sometimes as much as 45 or so more towards the top of the run. The track results were 10.55 @ 128.96 w/ a 1.683 60', a 10.683 @ 131.68 w/ a 1.720 60'. 1/8th mile speed was 104/105 on both runs. Timming was kept at 15 deg since more boost was added with the meth. DK if it should have been higher but its supposedly still safe for the stock LQ4 short block Im running. I know the 60' sucks but other than that, thoughts?

You mean 3-4mph on top i assume? What should 48rwhp net in mph pick up? I was hoping 135mph but I was also hoping for 650rwhp. Of course neither happened so Im getting used to it.

D/K... Dyno speed tuned it this time also. its still @ 15degrees timming @ WOT. I would have thought it could handle more but they said the extra 2# of boost required it to stay there? Maybe they are just being safe knowing Im not a track only racer and its my fun toy for driving around. Im also on a stock bottom end 2007 model LQ4 engine thats about a 10.2:1 compression ratio on 93 pump gas.

They just want to keep things on the safe side. I'm gonna mix race gas in mine once the forged short block gets here and let it eat. I made 10lbs at 5700 rpm. My blower is maxed out. I only have 12 degrees of timing in mine, but i was in the process of tuning it still.

Something that makes 102 in the 1/8 should go 128-130+ in the quarter.

The slowest pass was 128.xx and the fastest was 131.xx . The 1/8 mph was 104.xxx to 105.xx . I still think its flattening out on top because all the speed it picked up was 5mph in the 1/8th and 4mph in the 1/4 over my previous times before meth, more boost, and bigger headers. I did go from a 10 bolt with 3.23's to an 8.8 w 3.73's. IDK if the gear change is the reason for not getting more mph gain in the 1/4 than the 1/8 or not?

I think he's asking which fuel pump you're using.

Thanks, that one slipped by me. I thought he might be curious what wp because of the procharger auto tensioner setup requires an LS2 pump but mine being custom, it works with the stocker. Im running a Lonnies twin 255 setup with the 4psi hobbs switch.

Thanks, Its definitely fun to drive on the streets. The 315 Mickeys can be manageable if you dont roll into too aggressively before about 40mph or so. After that it just rockets down the road with authority. With the cutout open @ WOT it screams like an old school big block!!! The only delima is now that I old enough to afford to build the car I always wanted in my late teens Im alot older with a wife n kids. I wont let myself do alot on the streets because of other drivers safety and the police are patroling every where now.

Nice setup you have also. What kind of times or hp does it make.

Thank you sir .
That's the fun it's all about , right.
This project is not doing as well as expected putting down 540/440 @ 6psi.
Track times don't impress either right now 11.4@120 1.6 60 ft.
But it gets lots of looks and thumbs up and puts a huge grin on my face still.
Hoping this spring will bring better results .

Id be happy with those #'s on 6psi. Mine made 556/503 on 10#'s without meth and on 1 3/4" headers. Why only 6psi?

Nice torque numbers bud.
F1a is pushing it on stock internals.
A boost friendly short block will get a much smaller pulley to go with it.
I also was looking for a stepped header to replace these 1 3/4 SLP's currently on the car.
I really want to be bottom 10's with the car , I don't know too many people that wouldn't smile tooling around town in that.

So just reading this from your sig, this is with 243 heads? Are they worked? Valve size? When you changed out your stall, do you have any way to check % of slip on it?

Yes, stock casting 243 heads with stainless 2.02/1.575 valves and a 3 angle vj. I had a yank ss 3600 on the LS1/4L60E setup with a mild cam, not on this engine/ trans combo. I can datalog with hp tuners if that would tell what the slip % is.
