Well, Im not dissapointed but not thrilled with the results either. The combo made 556/504 with the converter unlocked on a dynojet this past Tuesday @ Dyno Speed Racing in Memphis, TN. With a copycat 8 rib SCDE setup and a 7.65"/4.5" pulley setup it made 11#'s @ 6500rpm. The cam sounds good and is fairly choppy @ idle. The converter feels much better for street driving compared to my old Yank ss3600 in the 4l60 trans. Im trying to figure out what psi to run the 315/35/17 Mt ET street 2's @ on the street with some highway driving. I originally tried 35psi as they were set at from having them mounted and it could easily spin them through 2nd into D from a 10mph roll. When I get the takeoff nailed down I will head to the track. BTW I will post the dyno sheet when I can get them to email it to me. LMK your thoughts on the setup and what it did.
UPDATE!!! I went to the track last night in Memphis, TN and my best ET was 10.95 @ 126.5mph with a 1.716 60'. I figured the DA to be about 1788ft @ roughly 9:00PM when the run was made. The 1/8th mile time was 7.080 @ 101.74mph The scales were not working so I wasnt able to weigh the car. I will say it has every nut and bolt on it that GM originally put in it plus some. The car is alot heavier than stock with the added weight of the 4l80 trans, conversion cross member, BMR tubular adj torque arm, LQ4 iron block with the procharger kit and me @ 180#'s. Im guessing it weighed 3800-3900# race weight with almost 7/8 tank of gas, my work clothes and boots, the laptop and some other crap in the back.
Thoughts???

Funny you say that, the 4.0 pulley I originally had on there made 14.5# @ 6500 but I run out of injector. I wasnt planning on that much boost just for safety sake. I have been doing this swap since early November. Id hate to blow the engine and be down for the summer.

Right in the middle of the build We decided to sell our old house and buy a new one that had alot of work to do on the inside. Between remodeling a house and ironing out little issues with the car (especially with the custom procharger SCDE copycat tensioner) Im due some seat time in the car.
Im curious what psi I should be running around on the street with? Then what to try @ the track?

Moving will definitely slow the progress on the car. I run my Nitto 555r 315/35/17 at 22 psi on the street with out any tire issues. 1st gear will break the tires loose around the 4k mark and 2nd gear holds pretty well. This is a 6 speed car by the way. The tire places always fill them up too full, try dropping 10-15 psi out and see how she does.

The old power to weight ratio has never been more clear than now. I was only stalling it up to about 2200 in hopes of avoiding 10 bolt carnage. I almost wish I would have left the 4.0" pulley on it and just added meth but in order to really take advantage of the extra power I need a different rearend.
