Another what might my numbers be question?
Hey guys,
I am getting ready to tear into LS6 long block and make the following changes on my 02 Camaro with an A4 trans.
- FAST 102 ported by Tony Mamo
- NW 102mm throttle body
- AFR 215 heads (touch by the hand of Tony 😀
- Tick 223-227 617/598 on 116+3 by Martin for my A4
- ARH stepped 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 and catt'd y-pipe thru a magnaflow cat back
I will also be adding an under drive pulley and roller tip rockers. With all this being said, what might I expect to see once I hit the rollers?
Thanks in advance 😀

I plan on a stall, just not sure which stall. What I would really like to do is ride in a couple different cars with different stall ranges. I have never rode in a car with an aftermarket converter, so reading different opinions only go so far with me. I will most likely go with Circle D or Yank in some type of billet configuration. A ride along will be my determining factor with this purchase.

Have you ever rode in a car with the cam you want ... How do you know you want that cam...if some ones just telling you that that cam would be good ....cause if your gonna use that princple for a stall you should do it for a cam as well just my .02

With the 224*/224* 116*+2* LSA smog friendly cam,
I would think adding more than 1000-1200 rpm to the stock
Stall would be a waste, 2400-2800 would seem to be the sweet
Spot for a daily driver, but there are much more knowledgeable
On here than I for pairing a mild cam with stall for a you're
Goals.

You're going to be pushing through your brakes trying to get that thing to stop without an aftermarket stall. Idling at the stoplight is going to suck too....I mean it isn't a huge cam by any means, but it's borderline from being too big on a stock stall. I was told a 224 sized cam was about as big as I'd want to go on my stock stall. A stall is a must for a heads cam car, you will pick up almost as much from the stall alone as you will the other stuff. .05-.08 tenths of a second is the norm from a stall.....just throw a yank ss3600 on and be done with it.
But with Tony doing the fast and the heads, I'll say 470rwhp with that cam.....but it'll be a dog down low without a stall. That's almost like going to a high end brothel, paying for a full night with 3 of the hottest women there, and then blowing your nut before they even get undressed......just a waste lol
Everyone here is just trying to help you out so you won't be disappointed. You've spent a lot of money on some high end parts man, this is by far a budget build so I'd get the most you can out of it. Trust us, it'll feel like a whole new animal with a stall.

I say 440 rwhp max.
I would say 3000 - 3600 stall converter. Hit up the sponsors they will steer you in the right direction.
However that peak number will mean nothing without a converter, especially if you do any type of racing. Or if you actually want to feel all that added power.
The cam choice is too big for a stock stall. I had a 221/221 with a stock stall briefly.
Stock converter and it didn't like each other at all. Braking was a challenge as well. It would bog down low (badly). Basically no performance gain. Trapped the same and ET was the same, until two weeks later when I received my converter. Totally different afterwards.
