I'm hitting the rev limiter before going through the traps and carrying it. I peaked around 6500 I think and I'm spinning it to 7200 and riding the limiter. I can feel it stop pulling up top. I gotta ditch the 430s.

Before you ditch the 4.30s you may need to consider going to a taller tire for the track......

I thought about going to 28s but I'm not sure that will be enough and the 27s probably don't have 15 passes on them.

I've recently run into the same issue when spraying. 4.30s on 28" tire and running out of RPM at the top end. I'm looking at running 29" Hoosiers next season. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hoo-18180/overview/

What kind of rpm are you turning and what's your trap? According to my calculator I'm at peak at 121 and forcing it to 130. Since I'm topping out as it sits idk what kind of trap speed I'm actually capable of so I can attempt to gear the car on the edge.

Timeslip says 126mph, but datalog saw a peak of 130mph at 7,000rpm with a 100 shot. I'm setup with a 150 now, so I expect to see another 4mph and 7,200rpm with all things staying equal. I'm good to 7,500rpm, but I don't make any additional power past 6,600rpm...although it carries 90% of it all the way to 7,500rpm. But, if I don't manage my RPMs I'm looking at making an extra hole in my block one of these days...

See how I knew you wasn't running a 28 tire..... I just knew it was shorter by the way you was explaining. Go across this board and you'll see the fastest M6 cars on motor are running 3.90, 4.11, or a 4.30 gear. There are a handful using a 4.56 gear.

I would go with flatter rear gear, personally. Even before stepping up to a 28" tire.

I've got 430s now with the 27". What do you think go to the 410 I have and if that doesn't work go 28s. I can feel the car just stop pulling above 65-6600.

I can't see the RPM in the graph, but assume the thing still noses over hard at say 6600, that's why it stops pulling. It shouldn't with that cam and setup tho. It should pull to 7000 at least.

What lifters are you running?

No doubt your car runs awesome, just don't know about 570 from a 408 with less than 12:1 compression and a hyd roller.

Half point of compression is not going to be that big of a deal in my eyes. I had a 403ci 12:1 with hyd cam making 568 on a dyno jet. Did 103 in the 8th and 131 in the 1/4. Me in the car 3765#. And my afr heads were 10 years old.

Good numbers !
