Default LQ9 with AI 232 243s and SNS2 - Tick Tuned

I picked up my Chevelle last Friday after leaving it at Tick's for the week to be dyno and street tuned. Jonathan had previously provided the starter tune which carried me along as I was getting other things completed.

I'm very pleased with how the car drives, the SNS2 in my opinion is very streetable which is impressive considering the power it makes on bottom and top. That said, floor the loud pedal and this thing takes off. First gear is basically useless over 1/2 throttle, and it doesn't let up all the way to almost 7000rpm!!

Thanks again to Martin for his recommendations and help putting my combo together for AutoX and track days. I may take it to the strip at some point just to see what it will do.

LQ9 stock short block
AI 232cc Z06-243s with lightweight valves @ 63cc (11.3 comp)
BTR Platinum springs with Titanium retainers
Tick SNS2 227/235

Unported Fast 92 / LS3 90mm TB
Stock rockers with BTR trunions
3in X-pipe to 22in UltraFlo's to 3in tailpipes (nice sound, not loud)

Good #s on a small cam. I should get my AI heads on before this weekend. Looking forward to a nice power bump

Very nice. Curious what this would have made on a 5.7? Probably not much less given it's not a big difference in cubic inches.

I'm extremely pleased with my AI heads. This cam's sweet spot is right where I needed it to be, and I'm guessing the FAST along with the heads extend the powerband past the peak. All about matching the combo to the car's expected use.

Numbers look spot on. Did you do any dyno testing before these mods?

Heavy numbers and an excellent shape to that curve. I bet that thing is a blast to drive. Looks like it has power everywhere.
