Default PRC As-Cast 225, FAST 102, Torquer 3 Dyno Numbers

For those who haven't seen my build thread, I wanted to get the numbers out here for my combo. Just got back from the dyno/tune today.

Stock bottom end, stock clutch, stock rear with 4.10 gears. All the other details are here: Build thread for Brews02WS6

STD 492/428

SAE 480/418

Clutch and rear end will be next, obviously.

I can't believe you haven't had any issues with the clutch. On my setup, the clutch pedal was sticking to the floor bad. Every time I'd drive it, it would give me problems.

Did you have to upgrade your fuel system to make it work at all?

This was a good build. Lots of attention to detail and it paid off nicely

Nope, just 36lb injectors. From what I read, I probably shouldn't do any more power without upgrading the pump.

Thanks, Darth! I think that's why some people get hurt feelings about their lower than expected numbers.

It was mentioned that the dyno is "known to be happy", which is fine...but I'll also mention that on the tuner's FB page, others experienced lower numbers than anticipated. So you guys can debate whether it's happy, sad, or indifferent and I'll just drive the car and have fun with it.

I've spoken with several of the really well respected voices in the LS world, and things that get overlooked - like finely tuning the preload on short travel lifters are worth 20-30 HP just due to each cylinder getting almost identical valve events. Any slop in the valve train causes the cylinders to behave differently and that robs power.

It's why the well optimized builds are always getting better results.

And in the end, you're exactly right. Go enjoy the car while everyone else argues over the dyno
