Frankenstein Heads Cam LS3 Dyno numbers inside.
This past weekend I got around to swapping in my LS3 engine into my 05 CTS-V. I got it dyno tuned yesterday and needless to say I'm impressed with the numbers. Frankenstein for the WIN!!
460 RWHP / 408 RWTQ.....on a Mustang Dyno which dynos about 15% lower than a dynojet. So the DynoJet Corrected Numbers are 529 RWHP/ 469 RWTQ. This run was done with the car at 215f, should be a little higher on a cooler dyno run.
Tuning was done by Travis Lane at Carolina Chassis Dyno in Lexington, SC

Very solid, sir. Always loved the V1's. Had a six cylinder '05 CTS for a minute. Really liked the platform and the look. You seem to have a really solid start.

Well I have read that there is anywhere from 10-20% difference between a mustang dyno and dynojet so I went in the middle at 15%. Once I get some more miles on the engine we are going to give it some more RPM and play with the timing some more and see if we can squeeze some more power out of it.
The 460 RWHP came at 6250 RPM and it was still climbing.

I have my car tuned on a Mustang dyno and he says his dyno runs about 4% lower than the Dynojet down the street. My car is in the low 500rwhp range so if I went on the local Dynojet it might read 20 more rwhp. I will just say dynos are different and it will be hard to put a number on it. Some are happy dynos and some are stingy with a whole lot in between. The track will tell.
