I would think 3900rw is good for a 5th gen. The -400 DA helps a little also.
Around 61-6200 and the DA did nothing as you can see there was moisture in the air all around us in the vids as well.
1.73 with that set up, and likely still room to improve. Lazer must be one hell of a driver. Not like it's a purpose built track car
It will never be a drag car either. Just having some fun with my FatGen. Thanks for the kind words

Seems as tho most of the gain was in the 60'. 1.73 vs 1.90

Maybe it needs some different tuning for different days idk. For what ever reason i have noticed the same in my own car. It trapps the same in a 2k+ da swing.
Yea that is pretty strange. Maybe it has something to do with the E85 fuel?

I know my car makes more power in lower da.

Neither, I never said it wasn't a fast car and not even saying it's not the fastest.
What I am saying is there is no such thing as dyno records, If there were the only way they would be legit is if all cars ran on the same dyno and it was not adjusted between cars., It's to easy to adjust a dyno to favor a car and it's been shown many times that dyno reading vary from one to the next.
EDIT: Honestly my truck hasn't been on the dyno yet and probably won't see the track but would like to try the autocross thing just to see how it stacks up against the Vettes and Camaro's. It's just an S10 with an 6.0 swap and a touch of boost.

I did a quick search and found this list on that other forum, Where does the car fit in?

Camaro SS, Bolt-Ons without Internal Engine Modification

I wouldn't be surprised if most of those cars are gutted. I see the first 4 are an A6.

Sweet build. I like unique builds like this. Makes me want to max out my setup now in my g8 instead of going lsa. Had no clue the electric was worth that much hp.

i have flex fuel in my g8, great mod. Pays dividends in summer because the vapor cools tbe combustion temps way down and makes it like its fall.

Fyi tuning on a dyno is vastly superior to the track since you isolate all the variables and can see exactly how the car responds to afr changes and timing changes. Not to mention, much safer since you can watch the gauges like a hawk during the runs. Dynos are great tools.

Agree in one aspect and disagree in another. On the dyno I get 0 knock retard yet at the track I get 3-4 degrees. I believe I need to do a little track tuning to dial it in properly.

I tuned on a load bearing dyno, but since then I have added and changed a few things. I redynod on a dyno jet after and checked the tune it had zero knock retard. Waiting to make a few more changes and get back on the first one and get some low 11 second passes hopefully. Thanks for the input

Got it. And obviously you have to use the track to maximize your setup, I was just saying in terms of tuning the powerband itself, dynos are great tools. People like to knock them, but it's hard to determine whether a change made a positive difference or not solely at the track or on the street.

I hated tuning my car at the track because I'd only get 3-4 runs in, and the DA changes so much start (early afternoon) to night, that it's tough to tell whether adding or subtracting spark really did anything.

For sure, and seat time will give you a bit too.
