2002 Z28 dyno results after cam!
So, I bought a 2002 Z28 6-speed a while back. I've had many F-bodies in the past and have never had the opportunity to have a cam installed. I finally got the opportunity (had the money) to get one installed and I was very impressed with the results.
Let me start with a little background on the car. It had a full exhaust on it when I bought it (long tubes, catless Y and slip catback) It had supposedly been dynoed by the previous owner by speed inc. and put down around 345-350 rwhp. I called a local speed shop here in central Illinois by the name of Scram Speed and talked with them about my goals and if the car was a daily driver and so forth. We decided on the Brian Tooley Racing Stage 2 cam. They said it would be a cam that the LS1 would really respond to while still keeping good street manners. They had my car in and done within a week of
when I called and at a very reasonable price, in my opinion.
I was expecting to see around 400rwhp, tops. After the cam install and dyno tune, it put down 430rwhp, so I gained around 80whp from the cam and tune. I was pleasantly surprised and I love the way the car feels and drives. It definitely gained a noticeable amount of power while retaining the street manners of a stock LS1.
I would recommend Scram Speed to anyone. It's nice having a shop like that 15 minutes away from home, rather than having to drive 2 hours North to the Chicago area. Here is the dyno graph.

HCI, my bad. You're right. I should've put 70-80rwhp.
G astma - the idle is relatively smooth, but it definitely has enough of a lope to tell that the car is cammed. I'll try to post an idle video soon.

OP, I wasn't trying to sound rude or anything, I just wanted you to understand that a cam swap alone wasn't going to make that kind of power
