Default 2002 camaro bolt on dyno

just had my tune done today. Impressed with the number he got out of it. Not sure if it has any type of cam or not but he said he had to put some fuel into for sure it was pretty lean starting out there is no lope but does pull real well uptop. Went to straight line performance in new lenox

depends on what type of dyno as and whether that number displayed is SAE corrected or not. every dyno will be different. long as you got a baseline now that's a good starting point. next step(s) be taking it to the track and see what it'll run before you start adding more mods in the future.

Why was the pull stopped at around 5300 rpm?

I’m not sure why it was stopped he said it went to 5800 in the car registered to that on the dyno. Car pulls much better though. I want to make it to a track night at Joliet speedway and see what it runs.

Your numbers suggest that there's maybe a cam in there, but who knows. As long as it's a safe tune I'd go run it at the track. That will tell you what it's really making

It's the way the MD software is sometimes. When you first open the "View trace" screen sometimes it will only show part of the pull, if you press the ">" or ">>" buttons at the top of the screen it will show everything correctly.

I can post a video of it running at idle sure. The tuner thought there was a a small cam ls7 or z06 maybe. Which makes sense considering he had to add a lot of fuel

Does anyone know if there is a group that goes to the track that is local to Chicago?

How can you say it pulled well up top when there was over a thousand RPM to go?

you need to read the graph.... That's cool he said it pulled to 5800 but the graph doesn' show that so you don't really know how the curve finished.

As soon as I get a free weekend I’ll head over and see what it runs at the speedway. I’m trying to post an idle video but it’s too large. Any idea on how get a 20 sec video up?

Also, I think if it went all the way to 6k in the graph it would have ended up in the low 380ish HP. TQ obviously peaked lower in the rpm range.

Oh well, once I figure out if I want to get fast 92 or 102 and then get a better set of heads, or just boost I’ll bring it back. Maybe could push 400 with the intake mani. It’s got a fast TB but haven’t measured it yet. I bought it from a dealer who had no idea what was done. I found the previous owners info in the car and was going to creepily find him on Facebook and ask him what he did to the car. But that’s creepy kinda.
