I went with a 6.2 block to run the square port heads & stock intake over some more expensive aftermarket heads & high dollar intake as the stock stuff works very well & is much cheaper. I've been very pleased with the performance
These are great heads and what I recommend too. What cam did you use with that combo?

I've drove the car everywhere & 80+ miles to the track, peeled off 1.4 60s with 6500 rpm clutch dumps & drove it home every time. High 10s on motor 127-128 but has been 130 once on a very cool day. Made 513whp 482tq through TSP TDs. 20 mpg highway, can drive the car however ya want idle is a lil lopey & takes a few minutes to idle on its own but after that perfect!

It is but I wanted a lil more so it's got spray on it now. Almost in the 9s on a lil 100 shot. Had to soften up the launch rpm so it wouldn't hit the tires too hard

This was only a 10.60 pass on the 100 shot didn't look at controller screen had it on a 1 second delay. Also had launch controller set lower at 6k so that killed my 60 ft some (1.57 vs 1.43) Went 10.12 with no delay right after but nobody got a clip of that one. Tried uploading last week but here it is!

First track outing went 6.40's to 1/8 but 4L80 wouldn't shift right, parted it out (heads are on a friends 8sec Drag Wk Nova)
This pump gas 434ci is going in this week with a T400...never go full retard!

You could always just pick up a used pullout LS7 (Corvetteforum.com) for around $7K... swap the cam to something more aggressive and easily make 500rwhp on 91 octane.

Cubic inches will make your goals waaaaay easier and increase longevity. The increased torque of a 416/427ci engine is no comparison to a 364/376ci engine.
