I agree that a better intake extends the rpm range (you proved it), but how much power torque did you gain? That is the issue here... his torque is so low, a high flowing intake isn’t gone get him back his torque (at least 100rwtq low). Pushrod length is a good one to look at.

414 with l92 stock ls3 intake and a 90mmTB pretty hefty cam.....makes 511rwhp and 488rwtq. 60lb injectors through a t56.

id make sure your pushrods are the correct length. the pull was done in the proper gear, you didnt starve for fuel at the higher range, or you lost a cylinder.

that didnt happen to me during the tune, but it happened later and you would be surprised on a car with a hefty cam how un noticed that can go? I relocated my coils so number 7 ended up laying on its primary. If you have a wideband you will notice cause it will run rich due to the unburned fuel.

if its the engine you say it is your estimate on power is right on, your dyno results however.......suggest you got problems

YUP! it would make sense. It makes cam ls1 power and torque lol Plus it looks like he paid a shop to do the work. and the tuner is saying the power is normal.. js

That power curve looks nothing like a 416. Even if there was a restriction or valvetrain issue up top, it would still make torque ...which it clearly is not doing. I'm gonna have to agree with Mavn. Shop swapped a LS1 with a 224r cam in favor of your 416 Thompson mill.

All I know is that I wouldn't be using a 240*/256* cam on a stock compression engine....no matter how many cubic inches the engine had.

You are way down on power which i believe is pretty obvious at this time. The short block and cam you have with our CNC heads makes 609fwhp on our dyno with a stock intake. Give us a shout as you start to get more info. We would like to be in the loop on what you find and please let us know if we can help you sort it all out. Thank you!!
