dyno dynamics dynatech 4wd questions

I've got a dyno date this afternoon with your basic sloppy build. SBE 6.0, 80e, jake's 3xB, two 450's in tank and bosch 210's, ~e75 , billet s480

My only dyno experience is years ago on an inertia type dynojet.
What are the best practices for a car like mine on a dynatech eddy current type dyno?

I assume I will use my scanner to shift up through the gears and then lock into 3rd gear and make the hit, then unlock the gears so it can coast down.

I don't shift to neutral on the track as I'm told that's bad on a stock internal 80e

Anything I should be aware of as far as etiquette? do's don'ts etc?

This is a local subie shop hence the 4wd dyno, but I'm hoping to get more of the cars I tune in here so I dont wanna piss them off.

Thanks

A buddy of mine owned one for a few years. TONS of pulls on it.

1. Put the shifter in 3rd, NOT in drive. Shift up through the gears with the scanner until you get to third, and then lock converter.
2. Before shifting into Park, make sure that you've stopped the rear wheels completely.
3. Soft tires will get destroyed on the rollers. I liquefied a set of MT ET Streets in my Nova.
4. MAKE SURE they use Shootout 8F. Its a setting designed for Forced Induction V8s and it adjusts the ramp rates accordingly. You'll lose traction on standard mode.
5. They call it the heartbreaker dyno for a reason. It'll read 12-15% low on peak power, MAYBE MORE. Don't get discouraged.

Thanks Joe!

ended up going on their new dynojet 424xLC2 which I think was very generous. 1074 locked

Aww man, when are you gonna test something with some REAL POWER??? Just kidding... I don't think that dyno is lying AT ALL! Nice going!

Great numbers!

I think it could have gone for another hundred safely, but with only 2 450's and a dead head style stock fuel rail I was running out of fuel.

pretty stoked on the bosch 210's and the vs racing billet s480. it really comes alive at 18+psi

dang, dead headed style fuel system over 1k wheel, thats awesome.

yeah I'm pretty stoked.

I wish I could say the same for this customer car I am/was tuning. TMS 408 with the wrong cam (not enough DCR for his chamber size) chinese throttle body and intake. didn't crack 500 through a m6 on e85. he's pretty butthurt.
