Default Big low end torque w/ summit ls pro cam...dyno results

I have learned almost everything I know from reading on this forum and would like to make my contribution, for those like me, who are researching for a build. So here is my build and dyno results for my 2000 FRC.
It's a stock GM bottom end LS3 with 29k miles,
821 heads milled .002 with competition valve job,
BTR 660 dual spring package w/ titanium retainers and 7.4" pushrods
Summit Racing Pro LS camshaft 230/242 with 625-605 lift on 113+3,
home ported LS3 intake with radius rods,
25% ud pulley,
home ported LS2 tb,
Vararam intake,
cattless 1 3/4" LG street headers,
2.5" electric cutouts,
and C5 Z06 Titanium axel back exhaust,
stock LS3 fuel injectors,
Centerforce dual friction clutch w/ 15 lb flywheel,
Tick Master cylinder

LS1 MAP sensor,
stock trans and diff.
dyno results are 483/462 rwhp/tq
this was not an expensive build by any means and I had low end torque in mind rather than max hp. I couldn't be happier with the results. The car drives VERY good. I also can't believe how nice the clutch drives either...feels almost like stock but better. Here is the dyno sheet. Has 400 rwtq right out of the gate.

Awesome numbers. I rather have more balanced Horsepower and Torque as you do here. Just more fun and driveable. Congrats.

The 425ft-lbs+ from 2600rpm up is pretty impressive.

REALLY nice. Consider bigger primaries and a retune. Bet you pick up 10-15 ft lbs everywhere, and 10+hp peak.

Congrats, thats a very nice combination. Folks LOVE the SUM-8710 and .015 can be milled off the heads very safely for a bump in compression. When we did our testing between that cam and SUM-8711, we started with 11 first because we were fairly certain the owner was going to prefer the 15 ft./lbs at 3500 vs. the 7hp at 6500. Sure enough, he did. Just a better all-arounder. .

That wtq... 🤤 Nice set-up! Seems like a very well-balanced dd build!
I've got an LS3 for my dd beater 98 ws6 that I'll be eventually freshening up once I finsh a couple top end swaps on my other toys. Although I'll be about 10whp handicapped off the bat on the dyno thanks to my 4.10s... But after I port n polish my 821s and port my LS3 intake with rad-mod, I'm shooting for 500whp. Would love my final #s on the dynojet to make like 510whp and 485wtq. I want my wtq as close to the whp as possible. A flatline plateau of wtq like what the GMPP ASA cams normally produce would make me even more happier.

Default Camshaft sum 8711

Can I use the 8711 cam with mechanical lifters and valve spring with 160lbs initial and 400lbs final?

No. It is a hydraulic lifter cam only.

Nice numbers, I have the LS1 version of this cam with milled TFS 220 (58cc). I hope it can carry the power the same way. I’m just about wrapped up on the build.

VERY NICE! That torque is impressive! I had an LS1 with AFR205's milled to around 10.5:1, LS6 intake, 233/239 cam long tubes on 91 and it did 440rwhp/385rwtq.... I would've loved that additional 80rwtq!!!! My setup below 4000 was dead.. but once it got to that RPM it was like a light switch flipped. 4-7000rpm was on fire for my setup. Would rather have your combo as mine was a street/road race car.

You can use solid lifter with hydraulic cams.
