Default Absolute 5.3 heads, TSP 231/237 Dyno results!

Previously I made 330rwhp with stock internals. I installed absolute stage 2 5.3l heads and Tsp 231/237 cam. I still have a stock LS1 intake and unported Tb plus the car still needs tuning but anyway it put down 423RWHP and 383RWTQ. It was still climbing when it hit the rev limiter at 6500. It would have been over 430 if I spun it a little higher. I am very happy with this setup. I will be taking it to the track sunday for the true test!

Geez, that seems nearly impossible with that cam through an LS1 intake and 12-bolt! Congrats.

hmm, are those SAE correct? 423rwhp/483 on a 98 shortblock with an ls1 intake, stock TB, and through a 12bolt and 3.73's

i flowed my ported heads through my ls1 intake and the intake choked the **** out of the CFM at least over 40% from my ls6 intake.

Congrats on the numbers Hope to see you at the shoot out on the 18th I picked up about 10-15 between the LS6 and TB.... get them on there I am sure the those numbers are locked for those who asked being the tq was 40 less then the hp... in an unlocked state that would be switched.

nice numbers. i'd get an intake and tb and tune for that and watch the numbers climb 15hp or more. enjoy the new setup.

Went to the track today. I couldn't get a good 60ft with these 16" Et Streets, sold my 15" slicks/skinnies. It seemed to trap good considering how it was so hot outside today.

60ft} 1.64
1/8} 7.39 @ 93mph
1/4} 11.57 @ 120mph

I bet you wish you never sold those drag wheels. Been there, done that, you will have another set back on the car before you know it You need some ET Drags on that setup More details on the car; suspension, race weight, ect. I figure 120 mph is good for at least an 11.3-11.1
You have a very stout setup there, just get that 60' down and you should have no problems getting a 10 sec pass when the better weather gets here, considering your car ran great stock internal.

I'm thinking about getting a set of pro stars. I also need to get rid of this stock Ls1 intake and Tb.

I have Qa1's on the front. BMR LCA and panhard on back. Raceweight is 3350. It cut many 1.54-1.58 sixty ft's before the H/C. I'm going back to the track this sunday with a much better tune.
