44 mag, it moves the power curve up1-200 rpms.

I would like to make a couple of comments on here. On a 114, we are very comfortable with the valve to piston clearance. on a 112 it is closer, but we have many customers with this cam out there coupled with the Comp 921 springs on stock heads, and no one has had any problems.

It is a good idea if you get this cam on a 112 to verify your valve drop and Piston to valve clearance although there seems to be plenty of room.

We do recommend Comp 921 springs with this cam, Although other springs might work, We do not have enough experience with them to recommend them.

I wouldn't say there's plenty of room. My valve drop was 0.210" on the intake valve, so that's about 0.075" of P/V clearance at TDC (as a rule of thumb you shouldn't go under 0.100"). But the clearance gets even tighter than that at points between 15* BTDC and 15* ATDC. Before checking the valve drop I told myself I'd get a smaller cam if my valve drop was any lower than 0.210"......I barely made it. As a side note....I'll be flycutting when I put new heads on the car.

44 mag,

Here's a dyno sheet of a Z06 with the same mods (no cats though) as me with the G5X3 114:

And here's my G5X3 112 for comparison:

I think the torque peak gives you a good idea of the powerband differences.
