I honestly cant tell since i havent seen him since before the the tune. I seen last at eh GTG we had when we took pics I know without the tune he made some where about 488hp and 489tq.

WEll if his tranny was slipping he would know it just from driving it.

now on to your setup. you really needd to richen up the low and mid range, you are really lean. were the pre cam dyno numbers with the TC locked or unlocked? whats your full list of bolt ons?

-edit. saw the full list. looks like your good minus a pulley. i say (re)tune and lock the TC and redyno and go from there

yea no freakin **** they did... glad i didn't order mine.. i came so so so very close.. not saying its not a good cam, but im gonna set back and wait and see how this all works out.

I don't recall the torque. I'll have to go out to the shop and see if I can find the dyno graph or maybe he'll chime in on the post this weekend and post it up.

35XRWHP with an unlocked 3500 stall converter and stock heads is not bad at all.

You would be 370 locked easily. with traction mid 11's

I think people need to adjust their expectations especially with A4 stalled cars.

hell there have been plenty a4 cars dyno near or over 400rwhp with supporting mods and a f13... how the hell should u expect 350rwhp from a bigger cam????? not trying to start a war and dont mean to offend anyone, but i think something has got to be off or wrong with the car or how its setup or tuned... dyno #'s dont mean much though its all about et, but if it dynos that low u kinda have to wonder what could be wrong and make sure it gets right before u flog it, or so id think.

Well the Dyno he was on is not a bad one, maybe a low one but a dyno is a dyno. I dyno'd 393 hp and around 380ish trq (unlocked) with all the bolt-ons and a GTP heads 224 cam setup, also 2800 Vig stall. After looking at his graph and his "numbers" and the more I think about it, his previous numbers were before he had a stall and the stall he has is a pretty sloppy stall. He ran 7.9s with only 314 hp on TEA's dyno (dont' know what they had) I honestly think he could pull 7.6 or 7.5 with the cam, and a 3500 stall. I do believe his tranny may be turning into oatmeal because he has alot of track runs on it, and we all know 60e's suck ***. I'll be at the track with him on march 5th, and we'll see then. I think that will be the easiest way to see how the cam is performing, and how much mph he picks up. Basically people put too much into dyno numbers...and the person that did the tune knows his ****...it's not the tune.

TEA had a dynojet. And IT is know to be one of the lower reading ones in the country. Yeah, something doesn't seem right with those numbers. My old car with a TSP 225 cam, and no TB went 363 through a TCI SSF3500 on TEAs low reading dyno. Also through the Hooker catback, no cutout. I hope you get to the bottom of this, that 233 239 cam is starting to dissapoint some people. Good luck!!!

I didnt Jump on any "Band Wagon", i called TSP and told them my set up and asked them what cam would best compliment it. That is why i chose the 239.

The guy that tunned the car is very good. I dont think its the tune.

The car has 78,000 miles on it and and a trash bag full of time slips..
all on the the stock engine/tranny/rear end.

The first time i dyno'd was at tea, and the car made 325 lbs of torque...on the flow jet with the addition of the cam, intake, tb, and stall, it gained 5 ft. lbs....thats my main concern...but, what it all comes down to is this... i dont mind being the car making 352hp/330 tq running 11's...

i was pissed last night, but im gonna dyno it again at a different shop just to make sure its the car not the dyno, then ill go from there.

did you look at your graph , your at 14.5 - 13.5 AFR until 5k rpm, you need to richen it up. its even leaner with a load on the car. also lock the TC up.

the initial comment was not aimed specifically at you. just this whole thing reminds me of the Trex, everybody so quick to drop money down expecting 450rwhp like jason did but nobody has ever been able to reproduce that independently. i just got done searching 233/233 and 233/239 and there are over a half a dozen people dissappointed with there results and nobody has a tq reminecent of what TSP has posted.

i dont doubt you can hit 11's, with a stalled a4 its not very hard.

Well hopefully mine will do better, I know to expect lower numbers with a sloppy stall. I can always be happier with a et number than a dyno number. As some guys say, "you can't race a dyno" I am curious why he's so lean, that seems dangerous at that level. Surely fattened up along the lower rpms torque peak would bring the tq numbers way up ? Good luck Chris, I'm hoping your trans is okay, 'cause mine has 101K on it

I am in sort of the same situation except mine is the G5X3 cam. I gained 30-35 RWHP but my RWTQ stayed virtually the same. Beginning to believe the cam was installed off one tooth which would account for 9 degrees of timing off.

pulling the frontt cover and checking that will be one of the first things on my list if i dont narrow it down before that or it doesnt do well on the track. I highly doubt that is what my problem is, but i will check everything to make sure.

we we see on march 8th when the track opens.

I installed the 233/239 thursday in an '01 M6 with only pacesetters, ORY, cut-out, lid
we dynoed 390rwhp/366rwtq this was with the computer pulling timing due to KR from the Y-pipe banging the floor, after we get a pulley, ported TB & fix the KR issue im sure were going to get atleast 410-415 out of it.

if it stops raining hes going to take it the the track tonight.

As soon as my valve keepers come in im puttin the 233/239 in my A4. the last time i dynoed it made 313hp-323tq with headers/duals/lid/stall i'll have every thing in sig plus ported tb/LS6 intake/ASP pulley/ 233/239Cam

well, i cant wait to see what your numbers turn out to be.. other than the stall, we had the same set up and almost identical numbers before and did almost the same upgrades..this will tell me where im at I think.

Was the car dynoed on ET Streets? If so, borrow, beg, or steal a set of radials and try it again. We lost 22 RWHP on our C5 dynoing on ET Streets vs. the 18" radials. That would put you right around 370 RWHP, which is where you should be with an unlocked automatic with this camshaft. If you don't believe me, just redyno with radials and then go to the track. Then you can repost the dyno numbers and track times. You can't compare a dyno graph on radials against a dyno graph on ET Streets. Your torque converter is also going to show a loss of horsepower on the dyno. A TCI SSF 3500 will normally lose 12-15 RWHP vs. a stock torque converter on the dyno. If you modded the car to run awesome at the track, then you're going to be pleased. If you modded the car to be a dyno queen, then you should lose the ET Streets and torque converter.

Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions or concerns.
