Default Shooting for 400rwhp...

Going to G-Force friday for a cam/header/intake/fuel pump install and complete dyno tune. Hoping for a solid 400 rwhp. Car is an M6 with 27k easy miles. LTs/OR Y, Borla, LS6 intake, Magic stick, free mods, stock TB, MAF and pulley. Also gonna dyno the NX150. What you guys think? gonna break 400hp NA?

btw your car is low miles like mine....with that cam you should break 400, if not reaal close. Those bigger rims/tires might knock a little off but I still think you'll see 400...I know I noticed from SOTP my 02 SS rims & BRG DRs ate up at least 5rwhp but they stick like glue!

Do the free mods...wouldnt hurt...I did the TBB and home ported TB on mine...better throttle response from the TB, not sure there was a gain on the TBB, but every 1 hp helps Although you should not need it to break 400...

Mike at G-Force said that they have only had 2 cam only cars break 400hp so..maybe their dyno reads a little lower or maybe the humidity down here zaps em some. It will get the TB bypass(LS6 intake) and MAF is descreened. THe air box lower has been cut open(ram air mod). NOthing has been done to the TB. They are also switching it to TR6 plugs. I don't want to get my hopes up but I sure want 400hp. ALso worried about the fuel system. Installing a Walbro 255 which is supposed to feed 600hp. Mike says thats a crank rating though so mine with 400rwhp NA and another 150hp on spray will be 550rwhp. I'm guessing that to be a 650hp rating or so at the crank so...gonna be close

G-Force dynoed my car today before the tear down and it made 322hp/328tq with only a lid,K&N, Borla and a few free mods. Should get the REAL numbers tomorrow night.

Im no expert, but I checked out the cam specs because I had forgotten...

Thats a pretty big cam, especially compared to mine...

Im shooting for ~close to 400rwhp but after I have completed all the boltons (underdrive, better TB, elec pump to cool'er down between passes, 160* stat) and a bunch of tuning. But I'll probably dyno here in Houston where the weather is usually fair and dynos usually are higher lol...

I'd put $5 on it that you come within 5-10 hp of it....plus OR minus...

My vote is 390(or 400 on a nice day...)

They are still working on it. I SHOULD know something tonight or tomorrow. I want to watch em make the pulls after some of the initial tuning is done. Really wanna see it make the pulls on spray.

:fingerscrossedfor400hp:

Nice and cool here today but the humidity is way up there, not good for HP.

You will be close, but maybe just shy of 400 rwhp n/a. I'm thinking 375-380.

Jon its running, still needs tuning and fuel pump install. Tomorrow afternoon it should be on the dyno. Sounds freakin insane. Think it was because its in the shop though, lots of echos. Definetly nasty at idle.

That is right where I am at, but with a smaller cam, and no tune.

Should be close to 400.

Iv just got done installing my MS3 in my engine. Iv got the 853 castings on mine. Waiting for a LS6 intake and ill be taking it to G-Force also. Im hoping for roun 390hp but ill take it to the track and see how happy i am. The only problem i see for me besides the 853 castings is that iv got a steel 3" Denny driveshaft, Moser 12-bolt, 4.11s and big 28" street tires on my 15" Pro Stars. So i bet it will perform better at the track than my dyno will show.
