Expected gains LT's and catback?

Car dynoed 325/341with stock exh and a Flowmaster muff, stock heads/cam, just ordered SLP LT's, ORY, and LM also have a Stage 2 ported TB coming from Shaner. Was wondering if anyone had any numbers from going from stock exh to full exh

If you can cancel the slp headers that will help.

so what your saying is Im going to loose HP

With Almost no back pressure...YES...you will not gain what you want to gain. Put a muffler or something on it...get the LM2, might help out a little more.

I wanted the LM2 but it wasnt in stock, so I was thinking of putting the Dynomax bullet in its place

No they're saying slp lt's are junk. Dont listen about this backpressure bullshit, that has nothing to do with this, thats an old wives tale. Get a hooker catback and dotn have to deal with the bullshit. It's loud at wot and nice and quiet for driving.

so what make sthem junk, I know the coating sucks but besides that. My buddy has a Hooker cat back on his car, Im not found of the way it sounds. I ordered the Dynomax so its going in place of the resonator

i made 348 and 369 with pace Lts, TSP ORY, loudmouth for my exhaust and lid and bellow with my a4. i never got any runs with my stock exhaust, since your a m6 u would probly make 10-15 more hoses.

my LM has a annoying drone at 55-60 mph but i got used to it. it tends to put the people who ride in the backseats asleep. I'll prob end up going true duels in a few months(y-pipe was a present from my girlfriend so gota have that on for a while)

Don't worry about the lack of "backpressure". You NEVER want backpressure, what people confuse it with is exhaust gas velocity. Even so, you will be fine.

What you do need to worry about are the SLP headers being about as expensive as the suprior qtp/kooks, very hard to install, and bad ground clearance. Also, in the opinion of the majority the loudmouth sounds like :turd: with no cats. Sure, it's loud, but it rasps and sounds like a dump truck with the exhaust cut off. I say run cats and maybe put a bullet style muffler in place of the resonator or get a different cat-back.

Hmmm... I've got SLP LTs and Hooker CB... I love the sound. I've had my headers for nearly 4 years, and they still look great. Prior to my cam and cutout install I made 350hp 360tq, so I'd say that SLP LTs are not junk, and your numbers will probably be similar after your install.

AT LEAST TRY THE TSP RUMBLER! It's like the loudmouth but more refined sounding with an ORY/LTS

I don't think you could use the word "refined" to describe that exhaust. Better than straight loudmouth, yes, but far from refined. ;)

Just get an XR1 muffler for your LM. You will be all good.

My car did that as well (along with the serious headache). But i thought that was all from the CO leaking into the cabin of the car... :jest: :jest: :drive:  :barf:

mine tended to have a horrible drone between ~67 to 75 on the highway in sixth gear. How did I solve the problem? I drove at least 80.
