Don't forget to add the UD pulley when you swap cams.

Chris,

Alex drove mine down the 1/4 a few times on 275 street tires on a stock 10-bolt! He couldn't even go WOT until he was past the 1/8th mark because the car was breaking loose with ease. He was feeling the pedal all through the 1/8th, and only went WOT through the last few hundred feet.

I wouldn't drive it because I didn't want to break something and have to pay for it, so Alex offered to pay for anything he might break, so I gave him the keys, lol . He still netted an 11.9 pass at 123mph without even getting on it until the end. If I get a 9-inch and some slicks, I can see mid 10's @ 127+mph, IMO.

Hell, my old setup went 11.8 when I was ***** to the wall from start to finish. I am pleased with the 408.

Do a Fast 90 w/ a NW 90 TB, and get some 1-7/8" headers, and then put a larger cam in that beast with less LSA topped with TEA stg 3 6.0L heads. You have a lot of restrictions in your setup, but it is making awesome power for being choked. Start from the exhaust and work your way forward for best results. Get some Kooks 1-7/8" headers, then do a new intake setup. It has to exhale before it can inhale.

My 408 dyno numbers were low but I think I have too low compression, and a shitty intake. Mine was 450hp/440tq. I have a stock ls2 90mm intake, and I did the math yesterday and Im at 10.4 to 1 compression. I have patriot 72 cc stage 3 heads w/2.08 1.60 valves 225cc runners, and a Texas giant cam. I think by going to a 64cc stage 3 with 225 runners I would be in the 11.3 to 1 area, that should pick me up 20-30 rwhp. Im also going to get a fast intake, maybe between the two I can see 500rwhp. ????????????

I know with a set of AFR 205s milled to 66cc with the same Giant cam as you my friend put down 505rwhp with a ls6 intake on his 383... So you might want to think about that.

HKE 408
Greg Good Ported L92 Heads
GMPP Carb Intake (unported)
TH400 w/ Nitrous stall
244/248 Cam
Ford 9 inch w/ Spool
TT2 Wheels and 28 tall tires

Car put down 455 uncorrected..... ran a 7.9 @ 93mph w/ a 1.9 60ft on motor w/ a partial SD tune.

Fixed the tune after adding a maf and ran 7.6 at 94.5mph w/ a 1.7 60ft on motor with the nitrous stall.

I am sure it was doing right around 475-480 corrected after the maf tune.
