Thumbs up Tsp/prc Ls6 Heads + Custom Grind Numbers!!!

The shop that's doing the install/tuning on my car just called me 5 minutes after midnight tonight ...saying 'Please tell me I didnt wake you up...dude your car is sick!'

432 RWHP / 397 RWTQ!!!

The combo is the TSP/PRC CNCd LS6 heads with stock valves, a custom grind VERY similar to the t-rex cam on comp xer lobes, ls6 intake, 38 lb injectors, arp rod bolts, thru a tci 4400 convertor (numbers above locked, did 396 rwhp unlocked), stock 10 bolt with 3.73s, and heavy 17x11 zr1s with 315 nittos.

I about fell out of my chair when I heard the numbers, and these were after they had done about half a dozen pulls on it. They're going to tinker with it a little more and do a pull in the morning when it's cooler out. I was hoping to hit 400 unlocked and it looks like it's going to! I was really surprised about the torque number out of a cam that big. I'll post final numbers when I get them...just thought I'd share this little teaser and congratulate TSP on a great set of heads, these things are proving to be definite bargains!

Thumbs up

GREAT NUMBERS!!! The numbers these heads are producing should lay to rest the fallacy that a large port head (237CC) cannot make big torque numbers. I love mine as well! Congrats!

Thanks! I figured they had developed these heads for some time. I'm really glad I went with them...they're going to work great now and hopefully well if I ever re-valve them and slap them on a 402+ ci bottom end.
I remember reading about your good luck with these heads a few weeks ago right after I ordered mine...that was very reassuring at the time because til then I hadnt seen any real world numbers. Did you ever get your car to the track? I'm hoping to trap 120...guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed for that, maybe we can get a cool friday night here sometime soon.

Id love to eventually get a 90/90 for it. Ill probably do some more suspension stuff first to make better use of the newfound power

If you go let me know I am seriously pondering going even in the warmer weather.
See what 2 different 400+ a4s can do here.

The 'XP' in the sig next to the cam is who did the work and tune (don't wanna **** anyone off on here talking about nonsponsors).
With the warm weather I wouldnt be surprised if the trap was down 2 or 3 mph and its hard to say how it'll hook...probably won't now...stupid nittos! A couple friends of mine are talkin about goin in on a set of et street radials to throw on some stock rims. Hopefully we can soon because Im pretty sure the nittos arent gonna cut it.

120 shouldnt be a problem, depending on raceweight... My car trapped 124 mph cam only BUT it is a light Z06. I have a small oil leak coming from my front seal and I havent got it to the track yet. I'll fix it one of these days. I also recently slapped on a Fast 90/90 as well as a lil ole NX kit(2 stages) and havent had the chance to get track time or dyno time.

Mainly the $ and the ptv was a worry. I was afraid it would be cutting it close with this cam and a 2.04 intake valve. Wouldve loved to have run a 2.02 intake valve (TSP are you listening?) hehe

Was that with the PRC stage 2.5 LS6 heads/ TQR v2 cam you had up for sale recently? Did you have a fast 90/90 on it, what size convertor?

Excellent Numbers!! The PRC heads have really taken off and have nothing but good things to bring to the market now and in the future. The consistant results of the heads as more and more people run them is definitly something to keep an eye on. For the price, there is no better head on the market.

I'm glad you are satisfied with the heads, thank you for posting!!

Zach
