Just curious are you still racing on the street with it or are you just taking it to the track now. That cage is going to be a dead give away for street racing, but then again so is the MS3.
Anyway congats on the numbers I hope to get back to work on mine soon but the house, school, children, wife and work all must come first.

Damn...I bought a MS3, a fast 90/Nw90 setup and I called tsp and worked a deal for some terminator heads and tuning, but I have to agree that those numbers don't seem to add up. This is really making me wonder if I should pull the trigger on the heads. I mean seriously I would be PISSED if I only hit 111mph NA at the track when I am out of pocket about $3500 for the stuff I just bought....

All I know is I have ran 11's@118 with the 381rwhp cam only setup I have now, and that was not in the greatest weather. If I didn't SIGNIFICANLY notice a difference I would not be a happy camper.

Alb. doesn't get good air...ever...and never will. Even where I live, the best day I've EVER raced in was +2900feet DA. One of the many reasons most of my cars are being turbo'd, because N/A racing sucks when there is no air.
When Sean makes it to Roswell, he will have much better results. Thats the best hooking and fastest track in NM/West Texas currently, even though the air still isn't optimum.

Your questions and concerns were already answered in this thread about the trap speed
Termin8r, how much does a 6 point cage weigh?

Blue02WS6, kinda funny "what you know" were trying to explain what you don't know! High altitude has a significant impact on your times because the density of the air is less.
This is the reason I asked Term if he wanted to head out to Roswell in October. The DA is low for the area (3000-4000ft) during that time of the year, it's a close track, and it freaking hooks!!
You can throw that 11.8@118 time slip in the garbage, doesn't mean jack up here.

Ok, I was being kind at first, but the little smartassed comments are ridiculous. I know about DA and it's effect on a car. You know DA effects places all over the world, not just in the shitty areas with high elevation. I have read this entire thread, from page one till this post, and I will probably still get the heads, but I KNOW there is no way a car with 490rwhp will trap 111mph UNLESS the driver is really shitty at getting it down the track. That is it, sorry I think termin8r is a great guy and has answered every question I sent to him, but that is a fact. These cars didn't just come out, it isn't like we don't know what they should run no matter what the air conditions, that is what science is for, the only varible is driver. I just hope termin8r is a TERRIBLE driver if not they did not realisticaly produce 490rwhp.

My car doesn't make 490hp HERE in Albuquerque. It makes 490hp AT SEA LEVEL. Here in Albuquerque we are 5500 feet up, and the DA is around 8000+ on most days. I probably barely make 400hp here na. Yes, my car will go A LOT faster at sea level, not to mention on a good track. Even if I was a "shitty" driver, the car would still trap high, just wouldn't et well.

Where the car was dynoed and where it was run are two different places. He's a newbie at the track. It's all there. Someone else with that car in Texas runs 11's pro'lly all day long. Trap speed should be at a certain level consistently if your running an automatic where things (shifting) are controlled better. Mash the pedal and go. Not much to it. A stick is a lot different. Shift to quick or to late and there goes your trap speed all to hell, not just your et.( I ate up an 03 Cobra on a roll the same week I turned a 13.39 at 108). Trip and stumble out of the gate and your trap speed isnt going to look to well either. It all needs to come together at once for a good run with a 6 speed and the clutch needs to be good as well. This guy just hasnt figured it out yet but you would rather call it bullshit on the dyno.
