tuning, you can mess with your timing and get over 400 while on the dyno

i did all the tuning and none was done on the dyno. it was a little rich 12.2-12.5 and then my injectors go static above 6k. i just ran the car on the dyno so see what it was running.

If you flatten out that A/F a little bit, it should put you over 400rwhp.

Why didn't you go with the G5X2 cam?? The X1 doesn't do much. You want to add some gas mileage and another 10-20 rwhp? Add the ASP UD pully and Electric water pump from Meziere. I added both at the same time picked up 4-6 mpg on the highway. 34-36 mpg consistently at 80 mph in 6th gear with the cruise set.

well i bought the cam new for $200 bucks. its my DD so i wanted something that was really streetable. also i wanted power and torque down low cause that is where 80% off the time it is. i felt a huge power gain over the stock cam. my intentions were not for peak #'s but more power under the curve. if i wanted peak #s i would have a trex or X4, something. how can you say the X1 doesnt do much? ya its not like the X3 but its nice on the street. i have a really flat tq curve and lots of it. that is what i was really going to for. never been to the track but want to go.

i think those numbers are about right.Add a pulley and if the heads were ported you would be at like 425 which is about normal..i think your fine, especially for running as rich as it did.

well i can agree with that i suppose. i guess the people that i have seen in the low 400's are running a little bigger cams stocks heads, and also have a pulley. dont get me wrong the car runs good just thought it would have dynoed a little better. oh well thanks for all the replys guys.

Looks like alittle more tuning will put you over 400hp and will probly bring up the torque.Sound like you have a clogged fuel filter too.Stock injector's shouldn't go static at that HP.

well they are reading 116% at 6500rpm. it goes lean at 6000 too so i say its going static. also put a new fuel filter on about 5k ago. dont think thats the prob. and i was rich basicly the whole run except for above 6k. i think with a little more tuning and cooler weather i will be in in the low 400's.

I dynoed 399 as well and no matter what we threw at it, we couldn't get that extra 1HP out of her.
