Was your car tuned after this set up was installed. If it was not, you have left some hp and tq on the table.

Yep, 90mm FAST intake and Nick Williams right out of the box. The numbers posted are with the new tune and full exhaust.

that's a strange dip in the Tq around 5300....we've tested that intake on my friends mustang dyno and have always seen that same weird dip with the fast 90/90 setup.

strange thing is, we've never got more HP or Tq out of a FAST 90 then an LS6 intake on whatever we've tested it on? and they all have that strange lose in Tq at that same spot?

the torque dip @ 5300 was on the LS6 manifold. The red line is the 90mm intake, and it has much more TQ above the LS6 past 5300 rpm! Looks about a 20rwtq gain @ 5300!

Looks like the peak torque numbers don't tell the whole story when you look at the power beyond 5K. Nice gain, why did you decide not to port the intake?

it is never going to be enough, you know that! i have to replace the valve train because of mileage, so i might as well go with a bigger cam!

It turned out good Dave! Enjoyed taking the formy down the road and opening it up some! That 1-2 powershift is a wild one for sure! Great gains considering the exhaust prolly cost ya 7-8. I think we may name the new came "Hart Breaker" just for Chris!

nice gains!

but....

is it really a "night and day" difference? i just cant come to believe 13 hp is that noticable. i mean, i know its a bolt on, and everyone counts and adds up..
i dont know, i could be wrong, and im not trying to be an ***/burst ur bubble. of course an intake is a great bolt on for an NA car.....no doubt.... just wondering. it seems like it would be more psycological that you would feel much of a difference...

I think he means night/day from untuned to tuned. I rode with him before it was tuned and it pulled but the new intake caused some daily driving issues. I am sure it pulls harder now...plus I think he did lose some down low before the tune but got it back plus extra after the tune. Daily driving issues make the tune well worth the money, also I think air flow is increased while in motion and so it could be more while moving??? IMO.

Yeah, the "peak" numbers are crap. I won't lie. Take a look at what happens after 5000 RPM's, though. This is where I feel the power! Come on! 20 rwtq over the LS6 all the way to red line? It feels like a small shot of N2O up top from what the old setup was!

That's funny. Every one will be like "I want a Hart Breaker cam, too!"

John, you did a good job on this tune! Oh, and thanks for getting my lopey sound tuned back in! I am loving it .
