Default 427 dyno results

Well took the car to vegas for the invasion and had a really awesome guy there tune it and he did a fantastic job. After all was said and done he had it dialed in very nicely. Car has the following

427 with mahle -4cc pistons, 1.5mm powerpac rings, and eagle crank
untouched L92 heads with 918 comp springs and titanium retainers
L76 intake with L76 fuel rail and L76 injectors, stock MAF, MTI clear lid, K&N filter, Vengeance 238/254 609/598 114+4 camshaft, TR55 plugs gapped at .45, MSD wires, LS2 timing chain, high volume oil pump, Kooks 1 7/8 long tubes, kooks Y-pipe, corsa catback, 4.10 gears, auburn pro posi, moser axle, G-force T56, Textralia clutch and flywheel, etc etc engine only has 375 miles on it as well so not even broken in yet

The numbers were attained in a temp of 106 degrees heat, 23% humity, giving us a alt density of 6200 feet above sea level, on a mustang dyno

Ill get a graph up as soon as I get home still in Vegas for a bit but just wanted to share

Final numbers were 505 rwhp/ 510 rwtq car feels awesome and was still making power at 6600 rpms he said he had to roll into it cause it made so much low end torque that it was stretching the straps haha. Also the pull only took 4.7 secs which he thought was awesome cause the dyno operator has an evo that does makes over 500 rwhp and it takes his 6 something on its pull didnt quite understand what that meant but he said it was good lol.

505/510 at the wheels. Seems like you would've made a bit more on the hp side but damn did you come up with some stump pulling torque. Can't wait to see the graph. Port the intake and pick up some more HP bro. Good numbers through some 4.10's too.

6200ft above sea level... on a mustang dyno?? that would put you around 550/550 if based on that. ...I assume the numbers are corrected... so the only handicap is the fact that it was a mustang dyno!

Just look at it as the car is making more power than 505!

thanks matt and all others for their thoughts. I was toying with the idea and think I may have to go with a set of ETP LS7 heads and LS7 intake just to complete the package. I mean alot of guys say that the L76 just dies after 6k but mine kept going to about 6600. peak was at 5800 but it didnt drop it only leveled out it started dropping right around 6600. But we took it too 7k but after 6600 didnt feel worth it so made shift points at 6700.

Can't you just port the intake and see how much that helps ?? Seems like it would be cheaper to port then buy another new intake.

Highly recommend the ETP LS7 heads as well as an LS7 intake. That's what I have on my 402 and it has a very strong curve that never lets up.

Good to know they look promising. I may try and port the intake just to see what it does to help.
