TFS 215/Vindicator/FAST Vs TFS 215/Vindicator/402 Graph inside!!!
Good comparison for those of you interested. The ONLY change between graphs is a stock 346 Vs an LS2 402
Customer built a heads/cam package with us and then decided later on he wanted more. Being budget minded we used his 215s/Vindicator camshaft for ultimate power under the curve. This is what we came up with
Car is a 2002 SS M6
Mods include
LS2 402 bottom end
TrickFlow 215cc Cylinder Heads
GM MLS 6.0 Gaskets
Vindicator camshaft (240/244)
Harland Sharp Roller Rockers
ASP Pulley
Lid
GM LS7 Clutch
1 3/4 Kooks Longtubes w/ catted Y pipe
GMMG Chambered Exhaust- No cutout
FAST 90 ported by Vengeance
BlueMaxx 90mm Billet TB
160* Thermostat
4:10 Rear Gear

Holy torque Batman. That number at 3500 is almost hard to believe. Well done.

I am confused on why the TQ is so low on the 346. I thought it would put out lower then the RWHP on TQ of course. But 479 RWHP & 416 RWTQ. Also I thought the Vinticator Cam was putting out solid 500 RWHP on most 6spd cars

Every package is different. This car didnt respond as well to the mods as most do(with the stock bottom end). It also had the heaviest clutch available/stock waterpump/no cutout/ full exhaust/ and less compression... Not to mention anyone who has been around a dyno enough knows its harder to make the #s in the summer months than it is in the cooler air... even with SAE correction.
It takes everything and then some to make the 500rwhp... Just because it has been done doesnt mean it is an everyday occurance.

Well I did a search & found that the TQ is on spot for the cam. I guess I thought wrong on that note. Also I noticed after looking at teh mods the guy has a Catted Y-Pipe which explains alot too. I have your cam & will be reporting my results with my TFS 215 Heads at the middle of Sep I presume. About to buy my heads from Brian this next week. So I will post up how I do.

This is very informative for anyone looking for direct transition to the 402 setup with identical mods. Do keep in mind that the components on this conversion/swap/whathaveyou are geared to be able to be transitional (and useable) on both sized motors. You'll see wild 346s and mild/medium 402s using the same components. Once again, excellent comparison; glad soemone took the time to do this overlay/job!

Very good results Ron !! The torque in the 402 is amazingly sick. Did the owner make any comments about how the 402 drives VS when it had a 346 ?? Must be instantaneous tire roasting. Keep the good stuff coming Ron. You must have one of the top shops of 2007. Of course you know who my vote for #1 goes to.

Allngn_C5 ..... Actually, our customer just posted in the sponsor feedback section...
Vengeance Racing
I just wanted to let everyone know about the good experience I have had with Vengeance Racing. They just built a 402 LS2 based motor for my 2002 Camaro SS, and I couldn't be happier with the car. They spent a ton of time tuning the car on the dyno, and it really shows in how well the car runs and drives. The car has a pretty aggresive cam(Vengeance's Vindicator cam), and low speed driveability is still excellent. The car also pulls like a freight train. I want to say thanks to the crew at Vengeance for the great engine combo they set me up with. I will definitely go back to them for my LSx performance needs.
Seems he is happy with the way it drives and the power it is making
Thanx for your vote for #2!!!

Very good endorsement for your company. Keep up the good work Ron. Its pretty exciting watching some of the cars coming from your shop.
On another note, what are you guys doing with the LS3 ??
My team has been working on it for awhile and have gotten awesome results. Looking to see how the new LS3 corvette is going to respond to one of your cams. Good luck !
