Hand Ported 243's and Torquer V2 Like the Title says - i just installed a set of hand ported 243s (Conservative port work - but it was REALLY cheap and better than nothing) and a Torquer V2 Camshaft (232/234 .595/.598) with ALL the supporting goodies and bolt ons except a UD Pulley. This is on a '97 MN6 Corvette through a 4.10 rear. I made 400whp and 362 TQ on a Mustang Dyno, after the tune. For shits 'n giggles i'll throw it on a dynojet and see the difference some time in the future. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...vetteDyno2.jpg Base lined at 323hp 335 tq with Intake and Full Dynatech Supermaxx Exhaust, no tune. I figure on a Dynojet type dyno i'll make somewhere around 430? We'll see :D BTW - for anyone considering this cam I highly recommend it. With a good tune it's VERY streetable - no stalling, nice choppy idle around 900, and with 4.10s it's really snappy! :cheers: -Dan |

Tom Wong did a rock solid tune on this thing and there's no bucking, cam surge, or stalling. It's more than I was planning on spending... but some repairs popped up too that I wasn't expecting... I got some really good deals on hardware too - but since i didn't do the work myself ($1700 Labor Bill) that jacked up the price pretty bad... I could've done it myself, it just would've taken longer - and i don't have another car to drive - and i've been traveling a lot on the weekends lately, so basically if i wanted it done any time this summer, i had to have a Pro do it while i was out of town. -Dan |
