I am about to begin my build. Will begin with a forged 402 with Eagle, Diamond, Total Seal, Fed Mogul. Pistons are -2cc. I will be NA. No plans for FI or Nitrous.

I have two head options (because I have both in my garage).

First a set of Stage III Patriot LQ9 heads.

The other option is AFR 205, milled to 59cc.

My cam is a Comp XER 244/248 612/615 114+4.

Kooks 1 3/4 with 3" DMH cutouts and ZO6 Ti exhaust

Mizeire EWP

TPIS ported LS6 with Billet TPIS 85mm oval TB

I think that is all that matters for power production?

Any suggestions on milling the Patriot heads for NA application? Any issues with PTVC for the AFR @ 59cc? Head gasket size for max efficiency?

Thanks

I WOULD PUT THE PATRIOTS ON FOR SURE AND MAYBE MILL THEM TO 64CC OR SO AND SELL THE AFR'S FOR SOMETHING ELSE YOU WILL NEED

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BUILD

Why do ls7's with mild cams and full bolt-ons make 540-550whp and nasty cams make 570-585whp? Its it because the heads and intake are that much better? I know they have 25 cubics but these are some big power differences. I wonder how a 402 with 12:1 comp, prc ls7 heads, ported ls7 intake and a ls7r cam would do?

Yes 400 cfm heads versus 330 cfm heads basically. The bigger heads need less cam.

Made a change to the intake tract. I was pulling 8-0 Kpa's up top so I added a DeWitts rad w/ oil cooler and laid that down so I could run a 4" downtube instead of the airbridge. Kpa's are now going no lower than 99 and picked up a few hp/tq on the bottom and top. Still running the BRE 22x-23x cam. Your mother could drive this car it's sooooo mild. Numbers are through 3.90's and Z06 Ti exhaust with cats.

Just for $hits and grins Ed loaded a stock C6 Z06 graph on top of mine. It's not a happy dyno at all.

Report back after the swap to the TFS 220s. I think you need a cutout too.

Is the cam degreed?

Wolfe 6 pt chromoly weld in roll cage
Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials 275/40/17s on stock rims in the rear

Took her to the track once, just a few shake down runs in street trim.

60' 1.84
330 5.06
1/8 7.71 @ 92.14

60' 2.20
330 5.54
1/8 8.22 @ 93.13

60' 2.02
330 5.47
1/8 8.19 @ 92.27

60' 1.76
330 4.96
1/8 7.53 @ 107.73 (lmfao, tree messed up on MPH, guessing it was actually around 95)

60' 1.81
330 5.02
1/8 7.66 @ 94.72

She has quite a bit more in her, those were just shakedown runs and I was worried about pulling the fronts off the ground so I never launched her. Oh and on street night with no real track prep and the best the DA got that day was 4536'. Should be good for some low 1.6 60's and low 7.2s or so. Which is low 11s in the 1/4. Not too shabby for a car that weighs more than stock...lol. Guessing around 3900-4000 with me in it, still need to weigh her.

I would like to thank everyone at G-Force and Erik at HKE. Awesome build.
