How many 402's w/ over 530 rwhp?
Might not be the right section but how many guys out there w/ 402's are making over 530 rwhp and around 500 rwtq? My 402 setup is only putting down 477rwhp and 459 rwtq. I'm looking at swapping out the LS6 heads for a nice set of Mamofied AFR 205's, porting the FAST 90 and keeping the 244/612 cam specs but changing the LSA from a 112 to a 114. I just wanted to see how many of you are getting numbers around 530+. I'll try and post my graph, I need to scan it onto my PC..

It can be done and it looks as if you are on the right track.

I've seen a few threads posted here where guys have put down 557 rwhp. I just wnat to see if the odds are in my favor. I'd hate to dump more money into the ride and only gain 20-30 rwhp.

I personally would not be shooting for a specific number as much as a track time...but if you are going to do those mods you mentioned I would start with the cheaper one first and have another go at the dyno...maybe do the ported FAST90 or 92 and TB, then heads if you are still not happy with the power it is making. Why don't you give a full list of mods for us to look over?
Why do you want to change LSA?

I'm not really into track times anymore. I enjoy the spirited runs on the HWY.
I wish I was a fan of nitrous, it would be much easier and cheaper to just throw a 100 shot on.
By the way, I hold nothing against Extreme, I just chose not to use there services. I know people that had used and currently use them for all there corvette modding needs and are very happy w/ the results. Perhaps in the future I'll give them another go..

And dont get caught up in the dyno numbers. Your looking at number from different places all over, even different brands. A 408 is going to make aroudn 490-520 ft lbs on a good setup on a dynojet. If your seeing a setup that makes 590/550 for example on something else, its probably equivalent to 545/505 or so for ex.

Main advantage with the bigger cubed motor is the low end torque. 20-30 hp may not sound like much to you, but the car as a whole will be substantially more powerful. Don't get hung up in dyno #s. Have seen it too many times, a guy comes out with fresh dyno sheet and gets his *** handed to him by someone making 20 less hp in similar weight vehicles. Its not how much (hp), its how FAST!

A set of Mamofied 205's and FAST and you would probably be very close to if not over what you are looking for...Although I make no guarantees. Is the cam you have degreed? Sometimes degreeing a cam can make all the difference.

I'm sure that I'd be over 530 on a lot of dyno's around here. But it's not a dyno queen anyways. I'm at 510/470 and that's with a "as it runs on the street" tune and 3.90's.
I'll be there on Ed's stingy dyno after I get rid of the stinking L76 manifold - if Weind of FAST ever release them.

why not go with a 225 head instead of a 205 ? the bigger runner will lose very little bottom end and pick up decent hp on top. an afr 225 or tfs 225 and milled to maximize your scr/dcr along with porting your intake should put you over 530 rw.

TSP 402 here fitted with ETP 215's (3.9 bore chamber), 240/244 111lsa cam, ported Fast, full bolt-ons....
524whp/497wtq with 22 degress of timing for spray, through 3.90's and an M-12 tranny(Z06). The car has gone 132 in the 1/4(102 1/8th)..
I'm quite happy with my setup!
