Default BIG GAINS on a cammed C5 from an LS6 intake and 80mm TB

My buddy has a black 2000 C5 M6 with 127,000 miles on it. With full exhaust (LTs, no cats, SLP Loudmouth) and a Magic Stick 3, it had originally put down 390rwhp tuned (still on the LS1 intake but I don't remember the tq number).

I talked to him last night and he said he bought a new LS6 intake and an 80mm BBK throttle body and just got it redynoed. Are you ready for this? It put down 412/394!

He picked up 22rwhp and a bunch of rwtq from just the intake and TB swap and a retune (tuned by the same guys both times if I'm not mistaken). All this on a car with 127,000 miles on it.

Not too shabby if you ask me. We'll be heading up to a track rental in mid-May to find out how it does.

It is, but keep in mind that's just a peak number. He doesn't have the graph yet so I haven't gotten a chance to see the curve, but I woulnd't imagine it's the flattest curve out there by any means. I'll post it up if he can get me a copy of it.

Very nice gain. Even the 390rwhp is impress with the crappy LS1 intake. Id love to see the gain now with just a FAST 92mm swap.

Wow, great results! A Fast 92 would be worth another 15rwhp/10rwtq.

Cool, it sounds about right for the swap though. With his mods I would have expected to be in the 400's with a ls1-6 intake swap.
