Default 98 SS Vindicator cam only dyno and track results

All mods are listed in sig:

392/383

I have two copies of the graph but can't seem to find either one.

This past Tuesday I went to the track for the second time ever in my life and the best pass so far is:

12.27 at 114mph with a 1.88 60' on stock 10 bolt 3.42 gears

Now if I can just get that sixty foot down to a low 1.7 or even a high 1.6 I think I can get it into the 11s. Goin back next Tuesday so we'll see how it goes.

No spare tire and jack or front sway bar and thats it for weight reduction. This is on 315 BFGs at 17psi.

That cam is begging for a ported 92 fast. Nice numbers for only your second time to the track. FWIW I'd love to have your 1.88 60 time. The best I could cut was 2.11...... I ran 12.02 at 123.6 mph into a head wind. She was pulling hard once I got into 3rd but I spent half the track spinning the **** out of my Nittos. Funny thing is the nittos hook great on the street at 30 psi and spin like I am on ice even after heated at the track at 19 psi. Oh well, congrats now save some cash for the ported fast brother. Should be good for 20 rwhp the way Ron does each intake !!!!

depends on which version.

i think the original is 240/244 on a 112+4
v2 is same duration on 113+2..or something.

good looking cam, but i think at that point you might as well step up to a trex. they will drive the same haha.

I think 19 is too much for you. My friend with an 04 cobra drops his down to 12. I'm thinkin about droppin mine to 15 next time around.

Thats crazy. I am the exact opposite with my nittos. I spin like hell on the street and hook like a mother at the track. I have got a best 1.64 sixty on some 315/35/17 nittos. I guess they are a hit or miss tire. But anyway those are some great results OP. Like the others have stated get those sixtys down some and you will be in the 11s for sure.

Huh, with that kind of power I'd expect a slightly better trap but I also don't know what the DA was like where you ran it. And with 315 drag radials you should be able to get a low 1.7 60' out of that anyways. Keep practicing, but not bad for your second time out!

Id imagine Gateway in St. Louis. Is that a normal trap speed for this cam? Being a 6spd, its going to be hard nail a great 60ft. But since your on a 10 bolt, I wouldnt recommend wrinkle walls

I think the midlengths hold it back a little bit up top and thats why trap speed is possibly a little low for the cam. Im switching to longtubes over the winter and already have a set of patriot stage 2 ls1s sittin in the garage awaiting install.

Not bad for 98 castings and running through Macs. With a set of 241's and bigger headers you'd be in the 405-415 rwhp range for sure.

Who tuned the car?

Not sure who that is. Is he a shop owner or just an independent tuner?

good times so far but that mph should get you at least a 11.8-11.9 with a good launch and some crisp shifts
