Going to be lining up with a 2002 Z28 in town. Talked with him today from what he told me. Slp lid, Long tubes, catback, 4.10s, super chip, and is an auto..75k miles

My mods are in the sig and I am 3.23 gears auto, 103k

We will be going from a dig/roll.

I have a good chance on pulling away from him? Any strategies I should be in. Planned on leaving it in D and launching it with cutouts open

If he hooks he will put a car or two on you out of the hole. Same from a roll. That rear gear gives him the advantage on what looks to be two very evenly matched cars.

Should be a good race. If he really only has a **** Super Chips programmer instead of a real tune you have great chances.

You have a bigger stock cam, better lid, better exhaust, UDP, and a real tune on your side. He has gears on his.

If neither car spins or weighs extremely different, I say he jumps you out of the hole but you come around him and pull on him the whole race. Roll races will depend on the MPH, you are going to have very different sweet spots for the autos.

From a dig should I just launch it at 2800 rpm and give it WOT till the end?

given those mods i think it could go either way. these cars vary so much in performance mod for mod in stock trim its ridiculous.

i think you'll keep up enough and start to pull back from a roll given the gears, he will run out of breath around 100. the dig should be all you, unless he is on a DR.

With 4.10s a 25mph roll might put him at the bottom of 2nd...if so you would slaughter him since you would get a first gear downshift.

The 15 mph roll if he doesn't spin a crazy amount I bet he jumps out on you.

That should help your top end.

Confidence is growing that even if he gets you out of the hole, you pass and pull on him. By multiple car lengths.

This is assuming you both have traction. That will be the biggest factor in this match up I think.

From, from what I know he is just running street tires..as will I..only difference between that. My tires are brand new in the rear and his are down to a good 4.32nds from roasting them non stop. But he wont run untill he gets a set of tires im sure
