Question stalled 0-60 times

ok I came across an old thread that got me curious but if a stock LS1 0-60 is a 5,4 depending and I know I know that doesn't matter when racing but just for the magazine/social media thumpers lol anyway I know there is a slight difference between the Camaro and TA but what if you add like a 4K stall what would the 0-60 be then and then what if you had like 400rwhp what do you think the 0-60 would be? all opinions are welcomed and like I said I was just curious

That 0-60 of the stock LS1 should be worse when a 4K stall is added. Instead of coming out at 1800K with the OEM stall,it would be attempting to come out at 4000K. A stock LS1 F-bod is not known for good launch traction.
A better question would have been,by how much did a stall improve your 0-60 with everything else in the setup being the same.

Check out Wallace Racing calculators...one of my cars has a 2.1 0-60 time according to the formula.

Oh i thought he said 60ft. Yes I believe i hit 60mph just after the 60ft mark, and i hit that in 1.4 secs. I figure its likely around 2.0 to 60mph. I think i also tried one of the calculators one time also.

a stock stalled ls1 f body will lay down a very impressive 0-60 if it has enough tire/suspension to hook if not I agree it will be slower than stock - spinnin aint winnin

I was wondering how you all were measuring your 0 to 60 times. I just used the wallace calculator on one of my typical timeslips: "Your 0 to 60 time is: 1.56"

So I did this on Monday just because. On the street with NT05R drag radials that I did not burn out in. Just a warm (upper 80s) day on hot asphalt.

I could not hook worth a flying ****. I was avg'ing 0-60 in 6 secs. Fishtailing like crazy and pedaling the crap out of it. Pedaling it so bad in fact, it'd get out of PE mode and shift into second before I could go anywhere close to 100% WOT. So, I'd essentially waste first gear and 2-3 secs not accelerating and then shift into second and accelerate from there.

So yes, a stall without traction makes 0-60 much worse.

another way to calculate 0-60 that I feel is pretty accurate is with hp tuners elapsed time at the bottom of the scanner. Set it in chart on a paused log and then drag to the point you hit 60 mph enter the very long number in the calculator as it will be the total time elapsed on the scan then drag the cursor to the last point you were still at 0 mph ( usually the first speed a log will show with sticky tires is 2mph) then subtract that elapsed scan time. I used to use this a lot when I was avid about racing my 4 door fwd v6/SC regal gs ,best I got on the street on hoosier's with gto spring blockers was 4.53 , I have also tried this on my bone stock 98 z28 on nitto's stock stall and pulled 5.1

I wish I still had scans from when I took my stalled auto to the track , I would imagine where it went 1.7 60 foots it would be sub 4 seconds to 60 , I will have to remember to do that if/when I ever get back to the track
