65 Cutlass with Carbed LS3 Quarter mile Guess https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...033335cf03.jpg Slowly building a 65 Cutlass with carbed LS3 and Turbo 400. 9 inch Ford with 3.70s. Car ran easy 11s with an Edelbrock headed 455 Olds. It is pretty light, no A/C, heater etc. Going to look stock but hopefully run as fast or faster than the Olds motor. The LS3 is freshly rebuilt as pretty much a clone of the GM 376/533 crate motor except for a slightly different cam. Using the TF .585 lift 228/230 on 112 center. The tranny is reverse pattern, manual shift with brake. About a 3200 stall should do it I figure. Using Holley LS swap mounts and long tube hearers and mufflers for legal street driving. Figure 275X15 Mickeys on the back. Electric water pump and power steering and alternator only. I will use the Jegs cheap pump and carry a spare with me. I plan to also try the car with a Performer RPM and see how it runs compared to the GMPP single plane. Any input is appreciated. Jarhead |
