Default Car Finally goes to Rapid!!!

So after getting about a 1,000 quotes from Mikey over at Rapid I finally dropped it off to get worked on last friday. I'm sooo excited, was planning on picking it up this friday but with last minute things I had to order we shall see if it all comes in on time.

Anyway the goodies are:
Dominator 2 Custom Camshaft
PRC Springs
Moly Pushrods
Powerbond UD Pulley
Rapid Ported LS6 Oil Pump
LS2 Timing Chain
Textrailia OZ700 Clutch and Flywheel
Best mod of all: Mikey Dyno Tune haha

I'm soo excited to finally get all this done, the car was starting to feel extremely slow so i'm ready for some power. I shall keep everyone posted when it comes back from the shop and with the dyno numbers. I wish he didn't live so far away otherwise i'd get a dyno video for everyone. If anyone's from reading feel free to go video tape my car on the dyno hahaha.

Damn, that's the cam I really want when I save up for my new setup (along with some TFS 215s and a 92/92). I can't wait to see how it does on your car. Post up dyno numbers and track numbers ASAP!!!

Yeah I definitly will. I will be doin the TFS 215's and 92/92 eventually. I hope to get a rear, suspension, and ET Streets over summer and will keep you posted on track numbers. Dyno numbers and charts will be posted as soon as i can. I might run it on Nov 8th at MIR but with 275 all seasons and roughly 400 rwhp i don't see me sticking at all.... but i'll post up numbers if i do run!

Nice, you should see a decent trap even on the street tires (probably a little bit slower, but it'll give you an idea). I would have already put that cam in my car but with these junk milled heads it won't fit, so I'm just waiting and will do the heads first, then the cam, then the 92/92 if my fuel system isn't totally maxed out, which it probably will be.

It's a 224/228 581/588 113 LSA. It's a baby cam compared to what's out there now. I'm not saying I need the biggest cam available or anything becuase I know a cam well-matched for my goals is more important than the size numbers, but I like crazy top end power and a lot of it. I have no need for power under 4000 or so since I don't race down there. The lowest I see in a race is about 4300-4400 at minimum if I'm in a dead spot in fourth, but usually it doesn't drop below 4800-5000. This cam I have is very streetable, which is nice, but I love to go to the tracks and punch it a lot on the highway (sometimes when there's a car next to me racing, sometimes when I'm the only one on the highway ).

The way I see it, if I can go 11.7s or so with 400/367 to the wheels on a wuss budget H/C setup in a full weight car banging gears, I can't wait to see what I can do with a real cam, TFS 215s, and a 92/92 setup (probably 50-70 more rwhp), not to mention how much more fun I'll have with it on the street. Hell, my brother runs about dead even with me now and all he has is a cam and some bolt-ons (and that's through a nitrous tune but no nitrous yet, cats, and pretty much the same heavy drivetrain I have. Screw that.

dang that's insane, yeah i'm the same way everyone keeps talking about the power under the curve but honestly all my racing is done up top i don't do 2k rpm pulls or anything like that haha. I thought long and hard about my cam and mods and this just seems like the best cam choice. I'm sooo excited about it and can't wait to get it in.

Oh i'll definitly be out there quiet storm prolly gonna meet up with eric (subhumanzz) before hand in alexandria like i did last time. It should be good, i keep trying to talk myself out of runnin as i don't want to break anything since i gotta drive it back up to college but i will probably end up racing haha. Crap gotta go to class talk to you all later!! Oh and Demonspeed you better show up on the 8th, even if you can't run just hang out!!

Yeah misfit I finally got it over there. I got the call today that it is done and will be making a trip out on sunday to pick her up. The numbers were pretty stout if you ask me, i'll make you all sweat it out until i get the dyno chart to upload on here for you!!

haha i just got it yesterday it is extremely loud. if it weren't my DD i'd keep it that way but since it is i got a borla xr-1 at home so when i go home i'm going to make the borlamouth and if that's still too loud i got SLP high flows i can put on for now. Then when i get a DD i'll put this setup back on for track
