For those of you with stupid FAST cars....
I've noticed several recent threads in here where guys are posting some very quick times & MPH....
Do you drive them on the street? If so, do you ever still tangle on the street? I'm just wondering what the reaction is from the other driver when they get walked by a 140+ MPH car. Do they just shake their head in disbelief or what? Do they compliment the car, get pissed, or drive away like it didn't happen?

when i used to rip my car on the street with my twin turbo set up, it was steath and not to loud and people would try one qick race and they would just give a thumbs up with a big smile and a yell over. "what the hell is in that thing"
now and 12 second car is fast on the street theres not as much racing going on, atleast around my way. my vett and my buddys cobra are the fastest things around here. sucks, but saves me money modding the vett. lol

Mike R (aka: Stealth99C5) drives his 9.3 second 150mph turbo C5 around all of the time but going full throttle on the street in that car is almost suicide and will result in much wheelspin as well LOL so it's unlikely he goes more than 1/8th throttle when challenged.

Once a guy pulled up next to me revving his motor a bit, I clicked my window net up and just looked at him, haha he backed off quick.
I wouldn't have raced him anyways-like Marc said-not my style.
Nice to know that you can take pretty much ANYTHING that's driving around on the road.
Racing is for the track only, at least for me anyway.

Worst thing I had happen was with a couple street bikes that passed me in a 25mph no passing zone on 1 wheel with loud exhaust. I was pissed. Followed onto the open highway and settled it there. The first bike fell back fast the second stayed on his tail almost through 5th gear. Every time he looked back I could see the disbelief in his eyes and then the brain starts working and you know its stupid. Pulled over into the slow lane and let him go and his buddy eventually caught up looked in the car and gave me the thumbs up... Beyond stupid on my part!!!! Assclowns on bikes contributed to me being an assclown with the car.

i had a lil run in at about 11pm on a open 2 lane road with a 5.0 notch who thought he was hot ****. those mexican roads are real smoothe in that part, he warmed his slicks and i let him get the jump i 1/2 throttled it next to him, u could tell he thought he had to until i romped on it and broke it loose at 60+ mph and left him eating dust, thats when he made a left and didnt pull up at the next light. i think he was a tad embarassed

I drive mine daily during the summer time so I usually get quite a few good races each year. Pretty much from my point of view everything but the liter-bikes look like they drop anchor once I hit it.
Most folks give a thumbs up, or want to pull over and see why it leaves black marks at 110 mph. But I've had a few that have gotten pissed.
So far this year just a jackass in a red vette and some angry dude on a bike (he got raped). Everyone else has been really cool.

yea, it is.
In reality there are some 7 second capabile street cars out there but thats big buck street racing.
Honestly what is out there that we have to honestly caring about in a street race. Not much. For the few HS kids who can take a dig in their daddy's 06 z06, maybe him.
Otherwise keep it at the track.

Street racing is boring now.Use to look forward to it back in the day of my 400rwhp car but with todays builds it gets too dangerous.Last race(or call it that) was in Brents Vette just after it dyno'd near 800rwhp on pump.Pulled on the highway and some turbo'd import tried to give me the fly bye.I hit it in 4th and layed down atleast 500' of rubber at 100mph while going by him.Would of sucked if the car kicked on me.
