Default Possibly trading my TA for SS Impala.

I found a 2006 Impala SS with 27k miles or so on it for $17k http://norfolk.craigslist.org/cto/991429005.html

I emailed the guy and he showed interests in my TA. We may be meeting this weekend to talk more depending on if my wife likes the car or not.

Now, I posted this to get any and all info some of you may have on the SS. I know of one person that has the same car. He absolutely loves it. But I am not certain he knows anything about it other than it can move pretty quickly.

If you have owned one or have first hand knowledge with working with/on them please post up.

I've worked on them. You should check on the delivery date so you know how much warranty is left. I have never seen any major problems, some small issues with the remotes and rear defrosters. I think they are cool cars! You can P.M. me if you have any specific questions.

My wife has a 2007 Impala SS. We bought it new ~ 2 years ago, got 24k on it now.

Awesome car. It is quick, drive really well, and has a good exhaust note.

We really don't have any complaints about it.

Just do you know at that price point you are very close to a used G8 GT.

Keep an eye on ebay, you can snag a used G8 GT for under $20k right now.

I really like the Impala SS. I haven't heard of any major problems, but I'm sure traction is a nightmare with the FWD.
