Jury Duty...

Jury Duty...
So I graduated from college in May 2006 and since March 2006, I've been summoned for Jury Duty three times in Connecticut and once in Massachusetts (MA was at college since I was living in Boston). I guess if you actually get chosen you only have to be considered once every three years but if you don't get called to serve, they can summon you once every year.
Anyone else get called every freakin year?

but arent you in the taliban?
who has that picture??
i'm 27 and have only been called once. they scheduled me while i was in college, i told them i was not in the state, they rescheduled me for independence day week. i called the night before and they said the court is closed, so i didnt have to go in.
maybe if you just like tell them that you hate black people or something, they wont call you anymore.

Yeah, I figure at 24 having been called four times already, I'll be going for some kind of record if it continues like this.
I actually wouldn't mind being on a jury if it was an interesting case. It's just the dealing with work, etc that gets annoying every year.

Once in 39 years. It was for a capitol murder trial.
Defense attorney asked me if I had a good reason I thought I should be excused from jury duty. I told him I previously worked with and was friends with the defendant.
I obviously went home.

29 here and between 1999 and 2005 I was summonsed 11 times, 10 times I filed (and was granted) "excused deferral" for being in school. Basicly they summonsed me every 6mths until I finally served but I can tell you in Delaware having a job interview on the day you get summonsed is not a valid excuse.
