Hate to say it j0n but welcome to the new cookie cutter radio, hope you like britney spears lol. They tried this **** before with free FM on k-rock which failed miserably. However this is not talk radio, its "top 40" crap music that little teenie boppers listen to in their brand new 350Zs that daddy bought them, so I don't see them changing back due to the massive amount of ratings they will probably see from the sheeple that listen to it. Look at G-rock, another Z100 copy, and now K-rock. Its gay dude, but I'm gonna join the groups and whatever on facebook to try and do what I can to help.

Its a damn shame, haven't listened to 101.9 yet but other than that there are no rock stations left in the metro area.
I remember back in the day there was a huge selection
92.3 started as classic rock, then became modern. Then Stern left and they went to the shitty all-talk radio. Then came back as a wide variety nostalgia station, which wasn't too bad. Now they want to take on Z100 and 95.5? Bad move.
Q104.3 was a great, great metal station back in the early-mid 90s. Then became easy listening.
X107 was good for alternative/grunge, then became Y107 country.
102.7 was a classic stalwart, then became talk radio.
WTF is going on with radio owners? I guess they've completely given up to Satellite XM/Sirius, which itself is losing money.

Here in CT we have 106.9 WCCC, actually one of Stern's original stations where he actually worked. They really have taken steps to being NON-Corperate.

When I get to drive my wife's care I get to use the Sirius and I love listening to Stern, like he said before leaving Kroc, is that his show has been water down for years due to the FCC and specifically the policies of Michael Powell of that time.
Kroc fucked him and was pissed he left, now it just another bandwith.

All I can say, is stop listening to land based radio. Get yourself a sirius and just subscribe, you can listen to it live via the net, since I bought my new truck that came with a free year of sirius, I have had my computer logged on every day with octane 20 playing. Beats the HELL out of the crap that you hear on the regular radio dial by a mile.
(Stern is also playing in my office, I admit alot lower level of volume every morning, but I'm listening, and laughing along with the way it should have been all along)

NOw with teh oracle system in place there's so much data going in and out I don't think they would even notice.
The pres. inaugration was a watched item becasue if 100,000 people logged on and watched it, that would have probably crashed the computers, one guy with sirius playing, noone even notices.

So that's what happened. WTF!!!
Didn't really care too much for the music 92.3 played, but I still listened if I couldn't get 95.9, 105.5 or 89.5 to come in.
The radio waves are getting more and more morbid these days.
will have to check out 101.9 I guess.
