Default Looking to Pay Someone to Intall my Longtube Headers

Just ordered a set of PaceSetters for my 05 GTO. I was going to attempt to do it, but it seems to be a little too much. They are PaceSetter LT's with catted mids. Is there anybody in the Jersey area that has experience with this sort of thing? I am willing to pay a fair amount. Send me a PM if interested. I would like to have it done by the first week of September the latest.

go to a reputable shop near you. you do not want a broken bolt in the head and be **** out of luck and still pay someone to do it then pay to fix it.

I have done some pricing around with local shops (Cartek, Rocksand Racing, ECS, Diablo Formula). Righ now Diablo Formulas price is well below the competition's price (around 25-35% less). I still have a lot of homework to do because even though they have a very low price, I hate putting 300 miles on the goat in a single trip. Tomorrow I am going to check with a few reputable muffler shops and go from there.

Thanks for all your help! I Couldn't start a thread like this over on ls1GTO without starting a shop war.

Feel free to give me a call. PM me with what the lowest price you were quoted was.

Just make sure you take it to someone who has a good reputation with LSx Vehicles.

Sounds like Fran might be willing to price match. You can't go wrong with that deal.

Most shops can do it but Diablo Formula's service is excellent.

Just sent Fran a PM. Even though shops are willing to price match, distance also plays a factor because I hate racking up mileage. If Fran can do it for the price I asked, consider it a done deal.

I would take it to Slowhawk or Fran whoever is closest to you. They both are known for exceeding the customers expectations. The car woud benefit from a tune after anyways so they can take care of that too.

You really should get a tune as well after & want to have the headers installed by someone who can do both right.

Where are you located?

I am located in Central NJ. I was planning on doing a dyno tune sometime after I replaced the intake manifold during the winter. I think I am going to have Cartek do the dyno tune.

I can't really see it being to hard for any normal shop to do there's so much space under a GTO's hood you could pretty much unbolt with no problem an slap them on with in the hour. The tune would be a must though seems like these cars pick up power with such easy mods after a tune.

I'm going to let Ande at DiabloFormula do this. I will get my tune within a few months. I should hopefully get 375 rwhp with a tune.
