Default Richmond Dragway Friday Sept 25 anyone?

I was just wondering if anyone is planning to go to Richmond Dragway Friday the 25th. I havent raced the SS yet and I finally got it ready, or so I'll see It's been a while since I've been there but it is cheaper and closer to me than VMP or MIR and the last time I went there were a ton of F bodies.

Hope to see someone there!

I am planning on going unless it rains out(most likely as it has done so often this year). I know MightyMouse and a few other RPM cars will be running. All depends on the weather. Next Friday is another street night event.

It is still overcast but no rain and the weather forcast says no rain till 8pm so hopefully that will move further back too. Who knows, I might just drive down and if its open cool, if not I'll grab some bill's bbq and hang out!

So far track is open, radar shows no rain at all through 7 pm(that is as far in advance as it goes) and the roads are dry. I am going to call at 5 to double check. if it's open I am racing.

I'm curious...I don't have a helmet (the website says they're required for 13.99 and below). I've never run this car before. If I showed up...would I be able to get one run in before they give me a boot for the helmet or will they just look at the car, know that it'll be faster than that, and not let me run?

Good meeting you Mike. Most likely we will be out there again this Friday. We didn't have a big turnout due to the threat of weather.

Good meeting you too. Yea I like running as much as I want, even if I dont run a lot, its good to not spend all night in the staging lanes!

I need to get a clutch master cylinder and a good shifter before I head back, that was killing me. I couldnt get 3rd or 4th unless I shifted early. Traction there sucks but I'm still on the stock 10 bolt so I'm not trying to hook too much, tho VMP is usually stickier.
