Default Thanks Noyzee and Vinny! Track 9/26

Well finally got to the track for the first time in 2 years. Not the best day to make it up, apparently it was almost the worst run day of the year lol.
Made a motor pass to see how everything was, went 11.5 @ 119.8. A/f off a bit and didn't hook, only a 1.7 60' so i wasn't to bothered.
My buddy went an 11.3 with his supercharged car so noyzee and i decided to try the new juice kit, got it all setup and waited 5 hours to make another pass!!! Got on it out the hole and it just didn't feel right, super lean, nitrous kit wasn't working. For some reason the window switch wasn't working.
Thank god we ran into vinny from 860 performance, helped us trouble shoot and figured out the issue.

Only an hour wait got in line again, track was oiled down twice at this point but i crossed my fingers.. Didn't spray out of the hole, kicked on around the 60' ...
1.56 60' (thanks noyzee!)
10.59 @ 127.5 !!!!!!!!!!!

Hell of a ride for me. Considering the converter is not good for spray and the car weighed 3600 with me in it. It was fat and low timing, im psyched! Definitely more potential.

NOYZEE edit. this was done on a small drag radial.

yeah i drive it on the street weekly (to shows and stuff) don't commute or anything. No back seat, full front interior.

Krazy - A guy blew his motor, then the second car after a half hour clean up leaked all the way down the track. I was ready to kill

I was there but I missed the 10.59 pass, nice work.

I would have hated to be running yesterday, pretty much hurry up and wait. I was looking forward to watching some of those funny cars run, and than almost none of them could make a clean pass. There was a rail car that went 6.1 at 218, that was pretty cool.

congrats tim, car looked good. not bad for the first time out. another trip to the track once we fix that wire i see the car running 10.3's at 129-130. put a couple degrees of timming in and get her dialed in. glad the suspention held up with the shitty track, cant wait to hit it out of the hole.

get your info up on the eastern time post and up in the nitrous section, i will put you on the lists.

crazy, yea the white 3rd gen got it good. almost lost it due to no belly pan, he is very lucky joe wasnt there to see. he would be tossed.

after him there was another car that blew about 1/8 mile, then another that broke about 20 feet out and went the hole way down, then a clutch went and got the tranny on its way and got the start line, then and then and then. lol

i was all excited about getting my car together, now i remember why i took the year off. lol

I blame tech for not cracking on it. He's telling them he is racing Wild Street and they don't check for an engine diaper

Odd that they missed that (scatter shield). They went over my 250 rwhp car with a fine tooth comb when I brought it to NED.

Tim,
Sounds like its running great! I didn't get to see the passes, but judging by the fact that you took off nearly 1 sec, and didn't spray off the line has me thinking that a 9.999 sec pass might be achievable.

not going to happen without bigger tires or a gear change. he has 3 year old 918 springs in that bad lary with a good size cam and he went threw the traps at like 6700+ if we put a 28" tire on it then yes, i know for sure i could get that car to go 9's with a 150 shot. from that one pass air fuel and reading the plugs it has easy 2 degrees i can add and probably take out 5% fuel or more and bump bottle pressure up atleast 100 psi.

i bet 10.3 as is just with a bit of tuning and getting it to hit out of the hole. maybe even better
