Any MD inspection people here? Need a good place to get inspection done.
Is a muffler mandatory to pass MD inspection?
Would you fail a inspection if there is a cutout on the car but closed?

Yes has to have a muffler, cats all emissions equipment including the AIR pump ect...
Cut out would fail also even if closed.
You will need to find a "blind" inspector.

they might not mess with you for the cutout if its closed, but i had to take of my loudmouth exhaust because he didnt consider the resonator a muffler. find a dirty shop down in baltimore city and see if they will let some stuff slide besides safety stuff. i had my nitrous kit hooked up and they said to take the bottle out and they wouldnt write it down.
