Thumbs up Drove a ZR1 sunday!!!!

And i must say, holly hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

a friend of mine picked one up and he let me take it for a rip sunday and wow, i thought the Z06 was fast, this thing was crazy. the car should come with MT drag radials cuz it was usless in 1st 2nd and would haze 3rd to 100!!!

handle wise it was very close to the same, but the power and sound was unreal!!!!!

very very impressive.
i must say thanks to the owner as well for letting me take his brand new car for a rip. not many people trust some one enouph to toss them keys to a $100,000+ car, i must say im honored my buddy tossed me the keys, and i didnt even ask!!

also drove a 2010 camaro, i liked that alot as well. if i needed a 4 seater car, the camaro would be it!! i liked it alot. needs more power tho

They are nice cars, don't think I'd spend $100k on one though.

Should feel them with headers and a tune.

x2. I would say that the 4th gens have a more usable back seat (if that's possible).

Nice--- I am drooling just reading about it. Amazing how slow a fast car seems after driving a ludicrous fast car...

Im a fan of the new ZR1 but not a fan of the new camaro, not enough head room. Your practically reclined into the backseat to be comfortable. But I havent driven ZR1 yet, but I've driven 4 or 5 od the new camaros. But I did drive the new Z06 and I thought that was ridiculous on the street, needs some drag radials.

for ZR1 price i personally would buy a Z06 and do the extra 20 or 30K in mods.
BUT if i had the money to afford to **** it away on a car and not have to worry about it at all, ZR1 would definatly be in my garage in its own dedicated garage.

MMMM ZR1

They got a cyber grey one in Danver's for 129k pocket change.
I have to admit, I'm a huge fan, it is a lot of money for a vette though.

That must have been awesome. I drove a C6 Z06 recently and it was fairly useless in the low gears; I can't imagine what it was like in a ZR1.

nothing to do with pissing money away. if you spend 70 on a z06 and its under gm warranty then put 20 into it to make it as fast, now it is out of warranty and not have as streetable anymore.
you buy a total package. i drive my dads c6 z06 all the time, its impressive for sure, but this zr1 was nuts. very very nice over all car. drive it to florida get 26mpg ac crankin under gm warranty. its a great over all package for sure

Brad you've got it right. 640 horsepower in a bone stock car with a factory warranty. It's worth the cash in my eyes. If anything happens you just bring it in and forget about it.

Then with stupid stuff like a headers/tune and heaven forbid a cam and exhaust you'll have a 700 rwhp car that rides almost like stock.

The ZR1 is an awesome car. Brad buy one!

I drove an 06 ZO6 was pretty sweet pulled hard to 140 and i let off, I hope i can drive the ZR1 someday

My friend raced the Z against my buddy in his built 3rd gen. the z stomped it as expected, but it was funny to watch 2 yellow cars running. The 3rd held its own till the z caught traction
