For anyone that was curious, the car weighed in at 2640 with full interior and a 4 point cage. Without the cage it would probably be about 2580, but im more than happy where it is at 2640.

Default Time to get serious!!!!

Picked up Jerry's LS6 heads and ordered a pretty big cam through Fran at RPM. I will be picking up the rest of the parts along with the cam early next week and maybe putting them in the next weekend. Hoping to make well into the 400's once it gets tuned somewhere around the middle of the month, we will see. :-)

So under 2800lbs w/ driver?

Get some nice tires and you're gonna have a VERY fast car with the heads/cam

Yeah, i know, I might do that over the winter. I want to focus on other aspects of the car after this. It needs paint pretty badly.

Well... after about 15 hours between yesterday and today, 10 of which Scott was here was here helping me, IT RUNS!!!!!! It doesnt really want to idle too well and is taking forever to bleed all the coolant bubbles, but it runs.

Sounds SICK man! Get that thing tuned now and to the track! If you make anything in the mid 400's you'll have a 10 sec car with some sticky tires

Depending on the headers you will probably be about right. He will need injectors with a fast though. Glad you got it running.

Just got it home. Having a weird issue. The temp is normal while driving(about 190 degrees), but when i stop at a light and the car is idling it wants to heat up(about 220). Once i start driving again it drops like a rock. I never had an issue like this before the swap. My temp sensor for my gauge is at the back of the passenger head. Maybe its still working all the air bubbles out of the system? Its a brand new water pump and 180 degree thermostat too.

Is the car sturggling to idle at a stop light, i know your not tuned for the cam, wonder if that could be causing it to heat up when your not moving?

Not really struggling, sometimes it will want to die and i have to give it a little gas. It definently needs to be tuned, at low rpm it bucks pretty badly. Here is an idle vid thats not very good, but u can kinda hear the cam and a picture i toook last weekend.
