I think this car will come in lighter than that since it doesnt have any heat or A/C components including the core under the dash. The Abs system has been removed along with all the wiring. Wipers with motor are gone and the car was converted to manual steering also. Pretty much anything that wasnt needed was taken out. I think i saved about 50 lbs just in all the wiring that was taken out, lol.

My last FD weighed 2660 on stock twins and still had everything listed above. It was also a rotary though, so this car might be closer to that number.

I think you're going to be dissapointed. The FDs are lighter than FCs but my FC is stripped and it still weighs 2800lbs.

^ you must have missed this post. I weighed the car about a month ago at 2640.

Did miss that. That must feel good. I am surprised to find out how much lighter the FDs really are than the FCs

Maybe its still working all the air bubbles out of the system? Its a brand new water pump and 180 degree thermostat too.

Austin,

I wouldnt worry about the temp issue too much until you get it tuned as long as you got the air out of the system I'd be willing to bet a tune will cure a lot of your problems. Right now your running lean with the new heads/cam and until you get the tune to add the needed fuel to correct your A/F ratio it will run a bit hotter. Your also idling around 1200rpm so its going to run a bit hotter when stopped also. I would get it tuned and take it from there.
